Are young teens these days skipping out on the "awkward phase"? And is it good or bad?

I was passing by my middle school recently with the bus and the 12-14 year old girls that went on looked like they could be 20! They looked older than me tbh. 😩 All the perfect makeup and contouring. And their conversations were like "omg your IG post yesterday, ass looked so fucking big, babe you so thiccc" 😍

Can't stress how true this picture is tbh (I seriously have pics like the top pictures 😅).

Like they look so olddd, Im having 13-14 year old boys hitting on me these days because they think Im probably their age (cause Im short), and when they get to know my age they're like oh shit, really? Wasn't like that AT ALL when I was 13.

Im pretty sure its good to go through the awkward self discovery stage so you eventually become your own person, nowadays these girls are trying to look like every instagram model out there, and look "thic" like they do in the music videos and instagram. To be honest when I was 13 the bodies of women in media didn't even bother me or my friends one bit...

They're just so look and social media obsessed and stressing about everything looking "on fleek", I don't really see them living their kid life while they can and they look like they're in SUCH a damn rush to grow up and being obsessed about being Insta famous and "dating" a guy with a six pack /or a girl with "curves"...

Is this something that happens for every generation or is there something about the age of heavy social media that are changing kids? Will these girls look back at their old pics and look at them the way I look back in my awkward phase or not?

Disclaimer: Yes I know not every preteen and teen out there is like this but many are.

Kids will always try to imitate adults. The unguided or ignorant will seek false promises of glory because it is all they choose to see. Rather than think deeply on causality and conviction in righteousness, they fill their minds with superficial thoughts because it is rewarded with instant gratification. This mantra of IG (instant gratification) has become more of an issue with the speed that technology brings, shaping the expectations of acquiring emotional fulfillment.

And so that is why these girls would rather spend this much time on focusing on their looks than building skills that would last them forever, because who the fuck wants to put the much needed effort into confronting and correcting conflicts in order to become a decent human being anyway?

Not all, however. Usually the ugly ones find out first because they are not showered by attention from guys, to which they derive a large portion of self-worth. Too bad that it's hollow and images are exhausting to keep up. You would think that everyone would understand this, but they are blinded by the "24,331 likes" on a picture of a pornstar with dog ears.

With each successive generation, it seems that they are getting sexual earlier and earlier. Back when i was growing up, everyone tried to be like Madonna. I bet the girls these days are following that trashtastic Kar-crashians. Kylie Jenner must be their hero now. She's setting the bar real low getting f@cked by Tygra as a minor.

I'm hoping contouring is a generational trend. Hopefully it will go away by the next generation. My niece is seven and if she's like me, she'll hit the awkward phase early. She has nothing to worry about for now because she's still in her cute phase. Personally, I wore a ton of makeup when I was around their age. As I got older, especially when I hit college, I got too lazy.

Depends on the kid. I looked like an adult at 13 myself but I wasn't going around flaunting it. There wasn't social media back then either. I see awkward kids and more mature looking kids. I always thought it was genetics and vitamins, something in the food?

I´ve notice many teens want to become adults before time, the parents has the fault by one hand by the other hand I think it can be an effect of the liquid modernity, a theory propoused by Zygmunt Bauman.
