What liability does Alec Baldwin face shooting Halyna Hutchins as the person who shot her? What liability does he face as the producer of the movie?

There is no scenario in which he, as the person who was handling the weapon when it was discharged, isn't the primary party at fault. Period. If somebody, regardless of who they are hands you a firearm, you ALWAYS check it. Even if they say it's clear or cold, even if you watched them check it themselves, you ALWAYS check it yourself.

The tech or assistant director, or whoever it was that handed the gun to him and declared it "cold" also has serious explaining to do as well.

The armorer, who apparently didn't check it the last time it was turned in and/or checked out needs to be fired if that's the case.

Basically, there's no reason why Alec shouldn't be facing the brunt of legal charges for this.

A person's liability must be based upon an evaluation of ALL the available evidence and, at this point, I don't think that even the law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction has all of the information. G@G users, limited to what the MSM wants to tell us, CERTAINLY do not have all of the information necessary to make this decision. Therefore, you are asking us to rush to judgment and that is exactly what is wrong with the public response to high profile crime cases over the last 10-15 years.

I mean... it's manslaughter all day every day no matter how you look at it. He'll likely pay a fine, not have charges brought against him/ they'll be dismissed, and he will live with that for the rest of his life.

It's all very sad. How does a live round end up in a "fake" gun on a movie set?

Civil suit I hear so far could and probably would occur. Any charges? I am not seeing it so far. Fingers point more to the one who set it up. This armorer woman.

Anyone on here claiming it was accidental, freak accident, murder, homicide, set up needs to just STFU and let the investigation and the law run its course, nobody on this site is a lawyer.

He's more likely to face civil liability based on the reports that there were safety issues on set leading up to this incident.
