In Alec Baldwin's situation who was really to blame. The armorer or whoever supplied guns & real bullets or the guy with no knowledge of such?

Honestly you gotta be braindamagedly stupid - an IQ level equal to slug not human - to think functioning guns and more importantly real ammo on a movie set is a smart idea.

98% of movie sets do NOT allow actors or actresses anywhere near real ammo but rather flash-bang rounds (yes those things are real) and have a TRAINED professional handle the gun with live ammo. WHY do you think in shoot out scenes there is ALWAYS a cut away to bullet holes, etc. Because the scenes have been strung together through MANY TAKES.

You have to be either of a rather low IQ yourself or painfully unobservant to not realize that.

Yes Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger but if for people whose brain functions above level of moron they'd understand - why would he think it's loaded when never has been ever before.

It's NOT his responsibility to know it's loaded because that's the DUTY of the armorer. What do you think the armorer is there for? Decoration? They are as RESPONSIBLE for weapons that they own as anyone who owns a training gun range and allows people to rent would be.

Seems all 3 are guilty of manslaughter or a lesser charges depending rather than seeking a single person. They were all guilty of poor health and safety and negligence. It would be wrong to pin it on a single scapegoat to shoulder the blame

Baldwin is a guy with decades of gun safety training who should have known that guns are no toy and you don't point at someone with a gun and pull the trigger. I'm not really a gun girl but I've had gun safety training and we were taught that is a big no no.

Any person in the workplace who ignores their health and safety training is responsible for any death or deaths their reckless negligence causes, just as say a car driver who mounts the sidewalk running over a group of kids because they were speeding or drunk or both.

For me it's all three, unless someone took the gun and manipulated the fake bullets and like changed them with real bullets... but no you know what even in that situation, the last person (Alec) should have checked it or at least don't point the gun directly at a person (like you're supposed to on set)

I've only handled a pistol once in my life, but I have a theory about this incident. He says that he pulled back the hammer but didn't pull the trigger. If he didn't pull the hammer back far enough until it locked, could the spring have snapped it forward and fired the cartridge without the trigger being pulled?

Alex Baldwin pulled the trigger without checking the chamber. He's ultimately at fault.

Most likely the armorer , there should be no live ammunition at all on a movie set or able to fit in a prop gun

Primarily the armorer for even allowing live rounds on the set, but Baldwin should have checked. It should be automatic with any firearm.

Well, unfortunately, it is a classic manslaughter case; it does not sound like he had any motive. If he had proper firearms training, he should know that you should treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
