Let's begin with the obvious.
He's too young LEGALLY to be in possession the rifle he carried. (FEDERAL law states 18 years minimum, with supervision) If it had been converted to full-auto, that's an automatic ATF 10 year federal penitentiary Felony for Kyle~
Second, he doesn't have ANY legitimate 'skin in the game' regarding the rioting demonstration.
He was immaturely and illegitimately seeking to live out his adrenaline-fueled video game fantasies to ACTUALLY shoot a human being.
His STUPIDITY got him his fantasized excuse and now, if there be social justice, he'll get the 'full boat' legal consequences. This dipshit had NO legal right or obligation to even BE on those streets! PLEASE, NO plea bargaining!
A self-defense / stand One's ground argument hold NO water, if you DELIBERATELY and NEEDLESSLY placed your person in potentially-lethal harm's way. He wasn't 'deputized' or trained; he had even LESS legitimacy than the Rioters in that
he came there knowingly 'armed' with no VALID business unrelated to the riotous demonstration. By rights, the police could... and perhaps SHOULD have... shot him for inciting armed 'reckless endangerment' saving the tax payers incarceration costs.
Third, he didn't get 'enabled' ALONE. There is a legal status termed: "Accessory BEFORE the ACT" which further ALSO distributes culpability for ANY criminal behaviors YOUR assistance permitted or encouraged the Perpetrator to be ABLE to commit. See where this is going? Then, there's the civil injuries and wrongful death punitive $$$ lawsuits! Take his parent's FUCKING house and life savings! ---
Now, let's see if the states Attorney TRULY DOES their job!
None of that matters because he’s being charged with murder even though it was self defense
@WhiteBoyChill He sacrificed that defense when he intentionally put himself in a position of danger
@WhiteBoyChill He chose to be in a situation where it was risky. If I stand on a runway and use and antiaircraft missile to destroy a plane can I claim self-defense. I knew it was likely a plane would hit me, that's why I had an antiaircraft missile.
@WhiteBoyChill what would motivate you to drive to another state with a rifle when you aren't a hunter? What is the reason to have the gun if you don't intend violence
@Twalli it sounds like you're speaking on the basis of your own moral justifications, not law. Would you say that's fair? Because yes, legally it is justified to go "ACROSS STATE LINES," as if that bears any weight when for him it wasn't very far at all cuz he lived just across the state border, and defend property. Yes, he had the right to be armed. Yes, he has the right to be present. And even if he did not, for any reason, his right to self defense remains. You really seem to hate the right to self defense. Please demonstrate where along the chain of events his right to self defense was forfeited. How did anyone else have any more right to be there than he did?
@Jowm00 so because he wanted to he was allowed to carry a gun, which he wasn't, across state lines to go to a place where it was reasonable to assume his life could be in danger. If he really didn't intend violence he didn't have to carry a gun. Nobody went towards him until after he first fired his gun.
@Twalli 1. The statute in Wisconsin does permit 17 year olds to carry long rifles. 2. Even if it didn't, that doesn't remove someone's right to defend themselves. If a woman walked down a dark alleyway with a handgun in her purse that wasn't legally registered and a man tried to rape her, she still has EVERY right to use it to defend herself. 3. Grosskreutz, one of the individuals Rittenhouse shot, also had a gun, which he was pointing at Kyle when he was shot. Would you say the same applies to him? 4. If you are not aware that he was attacked before he fired, then you are too uninformed on this topic. There is literal video footage and witness testimony both that demonstrate that Rosenbaum charged and attacked Rittenhouse before Rittenhouse had fired a shot.
Please actually learn the events before commenting on them.
@Twalli The case is publicly viewable. You can watch it for yourself. I have been watching the full court session every day since it started. Rosenbaum began chasing Rittenhouse without provocation (after earlier that night threatening to kill him, according to several witnesses), and a third individual named Joshua Ziminsky fired a pistol into the air. Rittenhouse turned around as Rosenbaum was gaining ground on him, Rosenbaum tried to grab Rittenhouse's rifle, Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum. That was the first time Rittenhouse fired his gun. That's all well documented in the trial, and even the prosecution isn't contesting that.
Depends on what. He is definitely guilty of getting illegal firearms and carrying them. As for the case of self defense, I am split. I am of the opinion that if Kyle did not have a firearm on him then no one would have died which is sort of my issue with gun culture in the first place. Does not necessarily matter if everyone is "innocent"/good people if having a gun can turn normal everyday events from perhaps Kyle getting his ass beat for being an idiot to a mass shooting.
As such I believe that the cause of this is definitely Kyle obtaining illegal firearms and putting himself into a situation where he shot and killed several people. That was all him. There is also questions regarding his motivations for getting a gun and potentially carrying them there specifically. Most notably from a video of him talking about how he wanted to get a gun and shoot "looters" a couple of weeks prior.
Lastly, was his use of violence "self defense"? Maybe. I would need to hear more details about the case to make a final decision because it sure do sound like he intentionally put himself into a position where her was "forced to defend himself using his guns".
I dunno man, gun laws can be pretty stupid sometimes. From what I've read, it wasn't legal for him to buy, and his friend carried out a sort of straw purchase almost, except Kyle did not own the gun since it was kept at his friend's house. Legally speaking, it was his friend's gun and he was allowing him to use it, and he could've "gifted" it to him once he turned 18. People do this sort of thing all the time.
What I can't find is what circumstances he would've been allowed to have it on his person at that moment. Adults can open carry in Wisconsin... and there are circumstances in which minors can have a rifle on their person... I just can't determine if self-defense is one of them.
Kinda hard to figure out when the truth is buried in leftist media... one article claimed that the conceal and carry age is 21 and therefore it was illegal... stupid fucks.
And as I've said before, it'd be perfectly legal in my state, which is one of the more left-wing and more anti-gun states in the country, certainly more left-wing than Wisconsin.
@Celtero Again, he admitted to illegally obtaining the guns by providing the money and having a 3rd party purchase it for him. This is against the law both literally and against the spirit of the law. You can try weasel your way through it if you want by arguing that "It was not REALLY my gun since it was registered with someone else" or whatever but at that point you are operating under the assumption that what you did was illegal and you are trying to escape justice using fancy language.
Well, what is illegal is a "straw purchase." This is where someone gives the money to someone to buy a gun for them when they wouldn't be able to legally own one otherwise. Where things become cloudy is in many cases, you're allowed to gift people guns even if they're not allowed to buy them themselves. IE, my brother could own a pistol despite being underage and not being allowed to buy it because someone gifted it to him. We took that gun and shot it at a range, where we needed to provide our IDs. The general purpose of straw purchase laws is to avoid guns getting into the hands of felons and the criminally violent.
Where it seems like they avoid this being a straw purchase is in that Dominick Black kept the gun in his possession, up until the point where it was borrowed to Kyle for self defense, which is what he allegedly used it for.
I think the outcome of Dominick Black's case of providing a weapon to a minor resulting in death ultimately depends on the outcome of Rittenhouse's case. If it turns out this was a justified self defense then they could simply argue that without the provided firearm Rittenhouse would've been unjustly hurt or killed, which would legally justify him in providing him the firearm for self-defense.
@Celtero Even if taking everything you said as true, what you basically said is "Dominick Black kept the gun in his possession, until he didn't." I would also argue that the reckless irresponsibility of giving a minor a weapon that results in fatalities dont change much if it was self defense, especially if the reason Kyle got into danger in the first place is because he was armed.
@Celtero Yeah, first of all, fuck that judge. Secondly, the legal text in that state is simply broken and is not working as intended.
To put it simply, there is an exception in the law to allow underage to have a gun of a certain length for hunting. Fair enough. The fucked up thing is that Kyle did not get that gun for hunting (according to his own testimony) but because the hunting license law is written for teenagers below 16 then Kyle who is older than that but not an adult can use the age gap to qualify for the hunting exemption all because it specifically mentions it applies unless you violate the hunting license law which Kyle physically can't do because of his age.
Again, going back to what I have said previously. You can make an argument and try find legal loopholes to justify yourself but honestly that is nothing different from admitting you are guilty but found a way to escape the consequences in my eyes. Perhaps worse, until this loophole is fixed there is nothing illegal about underage teenagers above 16 to carry guns of certain lengths.
Look man, you're a European who probably thinks all guns should be banned, so I don't see how it'd be worth my effort to explain to you why it's okay for him to have that gun. If Kyle was 35 and had the gun legally I don't think your opinion on the case would be different. You dislike kyle because he's on the right.
But the fact of the matter is no injustice occurred that day. You attack someone unjustifiably, you forfeit your right to life and freedom from bodily harm. Some states don't have those laws, but wisconsin does, end of story.
If you have a problem with people using lethal force to defend themselves being legal, then make that the issue.
And I'm curious... how many times have you watched the videos where Rosenbaum and the two others were shot? Are those videos banned in your country or something?
@Celtero I read the laws and there is a clear case of the laws not being applied as intended. Furthermore I disagree with your views especially since that scenario is a direct result of Kyle Rittenhouse doing a number of reckless decisions ending in the deaths of two people, injury of a third and putting innocent people in danger.
I especially dont like this case because if he goes free then it opens up a legal way you can put yourself into a situation where you can kill people and get away with it. Granted, these cases have been a continuous problem for USA for like 200 years already.
Also I dont want to watch videos of people dying. Also I can view the video if I wanted.
It's not even graphic man... You should really watch them, I'll link you them. Don't be willfully ignorant.
Frankly, I fully support people defending their lives and property like this. If we had more brave people like kyle, we wouldn't have massive riots that cost billions in damages. There was another man who defended his bar from a man assaulting him but he was so troubled by the ordeal that he killed himself later. This Kenosha riot stemmed from the shooting of a black man who had raped his babymama and was trying to kidnap her kids and resisted arrest with a knife.
Blake: “I realized I had dropped my knife, had a little pocket knife. So I picked it up after I got off of him because they tased me and I fell on top of him,” "Blake had a history of resisting police arrest using a knife."
Like what... is it going to get to the point where police shoot a black mass-shooter and we get riots? Ah, I forgot. We already have riots in places like the UK even though the only man police killed was a terrorist.
Video of rosenbaum getting shot, happens around 0:33. Keep in mind someone else shot their gun (towards rittenhouse?) the moment before kyle turns around. No sound for whatever reason in this one, in others you can hear rosenbaum's threats. He had been chasing and following him for a while.

This is the other one where he shot the other two men. If you slow it down you can see the first man nailing him in the head with the skateboard, and the second man had the pistol pointed at his head.

It looks like a clear case of self-defense. This malicious prosecution.
This prosecutor... oh my goodness, he is awful.
I'm still not 100% convinced that the prosecution isn't trying to acquit and the defense isn't trying to get a conviction. They're all that bad.
Kyle pushes dumpster on fire away from gas station. 2 guys start chasing and shooting at him. What would any sane person do at this point?
You bring a gun with you as a means to protect yourself, but pray you don’t need to use it. I’d rather have a gun and not need to use it, then not have one and get in a situation where you need one.
Guys that chased him one was a child molester. The other liked to beat up his parents.
Innocent on all charges, even the gun possession charge. The law is for under 16, not under 18. Then give him fat stacks for everything he's been though and all the shit people are going to continue to give him. I hope he buys a mansion for his family with an armory of AR-15s and a giant marble middle finger fountain to greet any more felons who want to get self-defended against.
So not guilty that the prosecution should be charged for misconduct for even trying to bring this to court.
It's disappointing we even need a trial, but the left get very upset when you kill their goons.
I expect rioting to ensue if he's found innocence.
If I understand this right he didn't live near the protest. He drove there from another town to protect a dealership. Regardless of the fact that he had been in some COP program. HE WASN'T A COP. He wasn't acting in self defense. He went to where the problem was and exacerbated the situation just by his presence. While I don't want to see this kids life destroyed what he did was really stupid and he needs to know that. He's saying he did nothing wrong.
He did something wrong by being there but he was charged by an attacker
@NetSapien and @whiteboychill I guess the point I'm making was he was in no danger where he was. He drove to the danger. Yes in the moment you can argue self defense. But he had no reason to be there ergo he reaped the consequences of his actions.

Innocent, give me a fucking break.
Lmfao fuck him and his crocodile tears
totally innocent. they chased and attacked him and laid their hands on him before he shot them
He's a lunatic active shooter. If he was black, these nazis that love him would have already lynched him
Depends on the charge. He’s being charged with multiple things and some are much more obvious than others.
If you have a functioning brain, clearly innocent.
Innocent on most if not all charges.
He was stupid to be out there, though I'm sure he was threatened.
There should not have even been a trial.
Not guilty. He acted in self defense.
Innocent. He acted in self defense.
They attacked, he responded.
innocent and should get medal of freedom award
Innocent.
Guilty of manslaughter at the very least
Innocent all the way
Who is he?
