Prosecution in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial caught withholding evidence. Should the entire case be tossed?

The prosecution team that has had their ass chewed by the judge for ignoring Kyle's 5th amendment rights, not following the judge's instruction, and jury tampering, now is caught withholding HD video footage produced by the FBI, in order to show their grainy video footage, and straight lying to the judge and jury about what the video shows. This... is... a... crime. Does the fact that the HD footage clearly shows the prosecution lied about Kyle's actions-- while it clearly and unquestionably shows Kyle acting in self-defense, change your mind about the case? Should it be dismissed with prejudice, so that Kyle can't be tried again? That's the standard for this type of infraction by the prosecution.

I still think Kyle is guilty, but the crimes of the prosecution mean the case should be dismissed

There are good grounds for a mistrial with prejudice. Especially if the reports are true that two jurors are holding up the proceedings because they fear for their safety from BLM terrorists. President Brandon calling Kyle Rittenhouse a white supremacist should lend credence to that argument, also.

I agree 100%. I think the judge wants the jury to come to a not guilty verdict on their own, so the damn media doesn't go on about how he "sheltered and protected the kid as a white supremacist sympathizer", thus adding more fuel to the race fire the media is fueling. Judge is awesome.

I make no judgments abut how profile cases where all we know is what the media tells us. Why would anyone trust the media to reveal all of the evidence when it has such a political agenda at work in its reporting of crime stories?

well, in this case, we trusted the evidence to be revealed because withholding evidence of this nature is a crime. The prosecution team will be lucky not to be disbarred after this trial in my opinion. Every day they getting ripped a new one for violating some laws while trying to unjustly prosecute Kyle.

Well, lucky for you the entire trial was broadcast without commentary on multiple different corporate media channels on YouTube. And if you search really hard, you might find one stream of the trial with a panel of many different lawyers offering their commentary, albeit heavily biased towards Kyle's side (only because it's the correct side).

I've seen plenty of trials and I'm not interested in watching by another one, especially when it does not affect me personally. I always encourage people to not rush to judgment until they've heard all the evidence because the MSM uses every high profile case to try to advance their sociopolitical agenda.

He had ONE job, but he fucked it up and now Gaige Grosscrotch, has ONE bicep because of it. :D His testimony, revealing the truth, caused him to lose his own 10 million dollar lawsuit against the state, and will likely cause him to serve some prison time after this trial is over. Really crazy to think those guys are your heroes.

i would argue that the bigger idiot is the worm food who thought it was a good idea to attack someone holding a rifle. HD video footage clearly shows Kyle acting in self defense. Sure, you could say "Kyle shouldn't have even been there but it's not a crime for him to be". But then your unbiased opinion must also say "those fucking rioters shouldn't have been their either, and it WAS a crime for them to be based on what they were doing".

But it was Illegal for him to be there, he was underage with an assault rifle and crossed state borders, also protesting isn't illegal. Kyle was there to kill, pure and simple. Everyone else was there to protest. Certainly one is worse than the other. Even if there were rioters among them, Kyle is worse 100x over. I know nothing will change your mind, I just wonder what you would have thought in the exact same scenario reversed, at a MAGA rally a black minor with an assault rifle killing 2 people, don't pretend you'd defend him the same way you are defending kyle, and in this scenario the cops would have killed the black minor with an assault rilfle, not guide him to safety... Saying otherwise you are just lying to yourself, not to me.

You know there are times when killing someone is not just acceptable, but the morally correct thing to do, right? as the police testified, there were more people there WITH guns than without. Surely you don't believe that all those people were looking to kill someone just because they carried them, right? Even the guy Kyle shot in the arm, had a gun and testified himself that Kyle didn't shoot him until he was aiming it at Kyle in the first place.

That's... not at all the logic behind open carrying any kind of firearm. It sounds like you're projecting what you want to see and using twisted logic to get there.

Open carrying is meant to be a deterrent. If you're brave or foolish enough to be doing the job that the police won't do, trying to protect the community that's currently under siege by a deranged mob, you'd be crazy not to be armed. It's not Kyle's fault that a crazed pedophile was pissed off that Kyle was too old for him and decided to attack him like a demon from Doom.
