Wow. I had no idea.
Okay, I'm going to say what needs to be said here: Irish folks? North and south? Don't, I say DO NOT, make this into something full of strife, misery, and horror. I KNOW you've been told that "if it's not pointlessly tragic, it's not Irish", but if it IS pointlessly tragic, it's not Irish, either; it's Russian. Do you really want to be Russian? To trade your whiskey for vodka and your rain for snow and your incompretsible phoenetics for.. okay, THOSE wouldn't change much.
But no more hatred and violence, okay? You both have sweet songs and pretty girls with cute accents. Try focusing on that for a while.

I have over 80% Irish Catholic heritage. I know that my father's side was from County Wexford.
I want Ireland to be united. May it happen in my lifetime. The Republic doesn't have religious strife. Down with the Orange Order and England.
I've visited the Republic twice but never Ulster. I'd love to visit Ulster once the island is united.
Doesn't make a blind bit of difference. They don't have enough seats in Parliament to effect change. As for a United Ireland they've long had the right to call for a referendum but no one has. Irish politics is just a religious head count but I can't help feel the brexit farce over the border laws has played a part.
About time Ireland United and away from Londons rule along with Scotland.
2 free celtic countries.
Hopefully in our lifetime

Supporting the Irish are the Irish communities of the US, and the votes that depend on them as well as their economic power. It was the US who forced the British to accept the Good Friday deal.
Biden himself in the first phone call to Boris after his election said that there will never be borders between Ulster and Ireland.Despite my Ulster-Scot ancestry and being raised in the South End of Boston (Boondock Saints) I do not have a dog in this fight. But unifying Ireland will make for a much stronger nation with its agricultural and industrial base.
There’s no way of uniting Ireland without more trouble, as it stands we are in peaceful times, probably best leaving it as it is, no need for more death and destruction.
I don't know about Ireland's politics. But I hope it gos well
