It is already legal for a woman to go topless here. Most including myself still don't do it though.

It's legal by law for a woman to walk around topless in New York City yet they still have these parades or "Peaceful" protests. I went to one just to look at some boobs and take pictures. I'm not gonna dress like a creep.

It's unnecessary, women have been able to go topless here for at least 10 years now.

Ironically, in 10 years, I've seen like only 3 women do it.

There was no voting; it was all in court challenges. Men played no part!

In 1969, a judge said that merely being nude wasn’t an indecent act.

In 1991, a woman walked down a street on a sweltering day without wearing a shirt. She was charged and convicted of committing an indecent act, which was ultimately overturned.

In 1996, a court ruling paved the way for women to bare their chests in public.
Finally in 2000, a higher court sided with a woman, who challenged a bylaw against toplessness at a public pool. And in another incident, a female couple took off their shirts in defiance after being confronted by fellow beachgoers.
