Find a dedicated journalist who does it for a hobby, and has a different source of income.
Those who go to big houses for journalism, will always be compromised.
I run a blog, but work at a gas station. I am as bold as I feel I can get away with, short of saying anything that Google would delete my blog if I said it.
When I interned at a PEG TV studio over a decade ago, I had no freedom. Any thought I had, let alone word, that didn't fall in line with Democrat groupthink and what it permitted, was swiftly demeaned, censored, or punished. Even when they discovered that I voted for Stacey Mathia, because I didn't even trust Rick Snyder, let alone Virg Bernero, I became something of a paraiah.
After I left the studio when my internship ended, they made posthaste to act like they never knew me.
And that was a PEG station. Publishing content that almost no one watched. If I had been at NBC, I wouldn't have lasted a week.
You may think that such attitudes and treatment of others would be grounds for a discrimination suit. Once upon a time, you would've been correct. But Michigan went so woke, its eyes fell out.
Now, nothing is off the table.
To lose it you would've had to have faith in it to begin with. Money has always permeated everything. And journalism is not exempt from that. But in the (dis-) information age, there's 9 lies for every truth told. And credibility can be purchased with a following. Most media today targets the demographic that follows it. So the story is delivered in a way that they find palatable. And you can tell the demographic by the sponsors. Have no fear though it's not all bad. Ecclesiastes 1:9 "what has been will be again. What has been done will be done again. There is nothing new under the sun". So console yourself with the fact that what we're seeing is nothing knew. It's just being done in a slightly different way given technology.

Not journalism itself. However, the fact is, the bankers own mainstream media and the people that work for the media must follow orders. Therefore, what is called news is lies, misrepresentations, and omissions. It's as controlled than Pravda under the old USSR and more effective at telling lies because, Pravda, Americans believe we have a free press so they believe the lies.
Seems like journalism wants that special award and money to be the first to tell somebody about weiter smut. Journalist do not check their sources. Sometimes they'll scare people just to get a story. Why can they not tell the truth and report what they see.
Remember the old saying "Trust, but verify"? We can't even verify anything anymore. So no I don't think the journalism of today can be trusted, therefore, I lost my faith.
From the left wing media only. Right wing is honest
You get no honesty if doesn't fit their world view and political standings but propaganda and to me that isn't honest journalism.
I like to follow independent, crowdfunded journalists. Mainstream journalism is a completely captured institution run by the current elites.
I never had it to begin with. They're all biased, and the news is just depressing these days. Can't they find something more upbeat to report on?
Simples...
I have for sure. Old school investigative journalism is dead and what we have now are a bunch of sycophants and entertainers.
Journalism, government, and now "science".
I have
Mostly, yeah.
