What I heard is they are on an island that is hard to get to so they can't man up fire men to get rid of the fires they way they could if it was happening in a large and wide area where fire fighters could drive there to take out the fires. Hawaii is an island that is 14 hours from the rest of America by plane in some places so getting airplanes there isn't as easy as it would be if this happened in Carolina or Texas.

Probably not criminal charges unless somebody deliberately set the fires. Lawsuits definitely.

The Maui Police Chief John Pelletier was the Incident Commander during the Las Vegas mass shooting... He's cabal. That's why your power and warning sirens were shut off. It was a planned action to take the land in a fire sale to implement an AI driven smart city/surveillance state on the island. You heard of 15 minute cities where they permanently lock you down? That's their plan.
