This kind of stuff is why I will keep a close eye on anyone who works with my children who will be nurses, doctors, childcare workers, youth club volunteers, coaches and so on. We invent monsters in books, TV and movies but really the real monsters walk amongst us unnoticed, they've no conscience as long as they don't get caught it doesn't matter to them.

I previously wrote about this on this site anonymously, but I'm gonna say fuck it and tell the story publicly this time. I hope my story influences any parents here or future parents to NEVER leave your children alone with babysitters/nannies ever again.

Growing up, we had a nanny for as far as I could remember, as she started working for my parents before I was even born. My parents were both working as pharmacists (still are as today) and were both on the job full time, so they needed someone else to help out with home responsibilities. We lived in an upper-middle class household, so expenses weren't an issue and my parents liked the convenience of having a clear mind while they could focus on their job, knowing that their children's wellbeing were in good hand. That unfortunately would turn out to be a big mistake.

The nanny herself were referred to us through one of my mothers co-workers when that conversation came up. She decided it would be easier for her to delegate that responsibility to someone else, and she would compensate them generously. It's important to note that through her time being with us, my parents treated her as one of our family and have bought her gifts and even took her with us on vacation. Even years later my mom joked about her being like a "second mother" to me (which of course happened before I told her the story).

For the purpose of the story, I am the middle sibling of a total of 5. I have 2 older siblings and two younger siblings. This will be important later.

My parents have noticed an unusual bond between her (my nanny) and me, and they thought I was the "favorite kid" but they thought she was just being affectionate without knowing all the details. She used to bully my two older siblings and steal their stuff/toys and then give them to me, causing both of them to hate me. When they would hit me, she used to beat them up and lock them in the bathroom, until I would come in and unlock the door behind her back. She made them clean toilets and would yell at them for doing things that most kids at their age normally do, but she didn't treat me that way. This encouraged hate and jealousy that my older siblings had towards me, which started our relationship of the wrong foot, and would become toxic for YEARS after she had left.

Additionally, she used to watch PG +18 movies and would invite me to sit with her and see the most horrific, gruesome death scences at the tender age of 5. Of course now as an adult I've come across worse things than a serial killer show, but the early image of that was imprinted on my memory.

Furthermore, she used to sexually assault me when we were alone. I don't want to go into details of what that was like since I do not want to relive that memory. She would always tell me to not tell my parents, and I never knew why, but I always complied. It was only after I turned 13 that I had found out what statutory rape was truly what had happened. I knew that it was wrong, but I didn't know what it was exactly or why it was wrong, until after I got my first phone and started looking for answers over many questions I had as a curious adolescent.

I never told this story in person to anyone, except my mother. My dad doesn't know, since I specifically informed my mother to not tell anyone. I didn't even tell her what had happened until 10 years after, at the age of 15. The nanny had left us a year later after I turned 6, and ever since that time my mom started working part-time so she could help around the house more. She never suspected her at all, and the reason the nanny left was because she felt home-sick and wanted to get back around her family. Wherever she is now, I wish the worst to come upon her for all the pain she had inflicted upon me and my older siblings.

Moral of the story: put the well-being of your children first, and don't trust strangers with their safety, because there are sick people out there that you won't suspect who are capable of absolute horrors.

I looked into it some more. She wanted to gain sympathy and attention from a particular doctor that she became infatuated with. Seems all the babies were premature. She honestly could have gotten away with it, had she not gotten addicted to it. Surely it should be suspicious being she was the only one one duty

She looks so cute and sweet though, except in her mugshot. Ugh, it's a shame she was such a troubled person.

But in regards to your question, babies are easy targets and it's easy to make it look like natural causes. And I guess the killers don't see them as entirely human yet, so they won't feel as guilty.

Also, let's be honest, I think everyone has had the urge to murder a screeching baby at some point.

She must be sociopath and sadly yes sociopaths might choose professions where they can hurt innocent people and children. I do agree that we all need to keep a close eye on people that are talking care of vulnerable people. However, I am nurse myself and I find this both heartbreaking and horrible. I would hope people realize that many of us go into these professions because we want to do something good in the world.
