Should the officer really have been fired in that PA prison escape?

Apparently one officer was fired from the prison where the escaped killer in the PA jail escaped from

I think he could have prevented the prison escape if he really wanted to. There aren't too many places somebody could escape from if they really wanted to and this is the second escape in under 7 months so it's like he did not know this could happen.

A murderer escaped under his watch, that was literally his job and he didn’t do it. Yes, he should have been fired and keeping a closer eye on a convicted murderer

I think no police officer should be fired in that situation, but the killer needs to be placed on Death Row but given a fair trial, if worst give the killer 3 Life sentences.
