There was never going to be; the boycott is a tool of the downtrodden, desperate, and poor- those in this era of wealth, bread, and circuses lack both the determination and the need.

Beyond that, though, they seem to have FIRED the person in question, so... what exactly do you want them to do? Pour through the social media of every single person they hire or work with until the end of time? Have MORE surveillance state tactics? Or is it acceptable when "your side" is the one doing it?

These companies wade into social issues due to stupid brand managers who have an axe to grind. They need to tighten up who gets to make that call in the company. That is the Chief Marketing Officer’s responsibility. Until they realize that a lot of people will not accept their social positions we need to hurt them on sales, its that simple. You don’t need to boycott everything they own. Boycotting Bud Light did wonders.

First, they have huge negative press. This creates a PR problem. Then they have to choose to double down or back out. This gets the focus of their senior leaders and board. Then they have to start explaining to share-owners while the stock drops. Then news of potential shareholder lawsuits. Of course all this is happening while there are serious internal meetings trying to find out what happened, why and paths forward. Its a serious shitstorm that some careers will not survive. Then, the company loses a major brand even though they dump millions into rescuing it. It kills North American sales which means bad bonuses and stock options or grants. Then layoffs in the brand team and unfortunately the production lines. So yeah, it will make a difference.

Sometimes companies don't know that stuff about the people they hire. But it's better they got rid of her as soon as they found out.
