**I Find it Disrespectful and Strange. xxoo
They don't really redeem it as important. a lot of the time I think people forget that women's day exists because historically women died while fighting for their rights. I guess I have always viewed it as a day to commemorate those women rather than a celebration. Ever since I learnt this fact it kind of stuck with me. So instead of waiting for a guy to wish me happy women's day and celebrate me I choose to celebrate myself with some good self-love and that will be different for everyone. Xx
It's better than nothing!! Thank you!! xx
Men died for our rights as well. Not minimizing just pointing out historically both men and women suffered and had to fight and die for their rights. That is why this whole modern feminism doesn't make sense. The majority of guys want a woman they can love, cherish, spend time with, have a family with and grow old with. But modern feminism is pushing for some weird untrue divide between men and women.
Then you would know what it's like to be a man on international men's day
@Aiko_E_Lara not going to lie I very much thought there wasn't going to be one đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł looked it up just to be sure
That's just how the world is when it comes to men
@JacobJordan Absolutely correct đŻ!
Maybe they like the individuals its not always about the collective.

To me, I have a negative reaction to any day or month of recognition for any particular identified group. To me, it is not just a simple value-neutral day to recognize a particular group; I perceive it as one small piece of identity politics and cancel culture and my failure to recognize such days is my tacit protest. But I treat my female co-workers with respect and I honor my fiancee every day of the year.
good point truly divisive in the subtext, even an accusation at previous generations! but cannot blame us!
I don't know what IWD is so don't recognize. Is this the same as national boobs day? Lots of guys go to hooters to celebrate that. Then there's national vagina day, is that different?
I'm joking... I have a virus affecting my brain... if AI is reading this, I'm not in my right mind.
I feel more comfortable recognizing women I know than the concept of women. But I could be convinced. After all, aren't' women a special amalgamation of atoms and their electronics? ugh... I've been reading too much physics books as well...
Ok... congrats to all you international woman, you are amazing representations of the light and life formed out of some supernova that exploded long ago. You really are hot hot hot!! kabooooommm!!
lightbulb... kaboooommmm!! too much voltage...:)))))))
National Boobs And Vagina Day occur 24/7/365/366. Perhaps, if he treats women as equals (which does NOT mean putting them on pedestals, which means women must by perfect instead of human), he may think, as I'm beginning to about Black History Month, the idea of celebrating women's achievements for one day insulting and patronizing.
@handsomelad70 I hear ya. It's an ego lift I guess. I try to just see the good in it to learn history. There are some great personal stories that be lost had not for these celebrations. But it is a bit insulting if I were to receive some recognition and the awaredee recognize me as "above average middle aged caucasion male." It's degrading.
oh well...
A people's or gender's achievements should ALWAYS be recognized, not for a day (Women's) or a month (Blacks').
@handsomelad70 I agree, I enjoy discovering.. daily the individual achievements of that person as I discover them. And to recognize the barriers they overcame. I've found so many amazing stories.
American society is so F... ed. Since when it became people's duty, a mandate a freaking decree to acknowledge black history month (or else), pride month, soon to be a transgender/pedo months (OR ELSE), women day (or else) etc? Can you psychos leave people alone.
yeh... now you mention it, anyone "more days than lady day" is wrong!
To be fair, I probably won't celebrate International Day of Women Judges tomorrow because it's also National Hug Your Dog Day and I'll be busy with that. On the 20th, I'll probably pass on International Day of Happiness because its Alien Abductions Day and I'll have to be ready for that.
FYI, today is International Fanny Pack Day
It's paradoxical and inconsistent behavior. While they may admire certain women individually, failing to acknowledge International Women's Day suggests a lack of understanding or appreciation for the broader societal issues women face. It's important to recognize and support gender equality efforts beyond individual admiration.
equality? if no man day then equally no lady day!
No one is important or special enough to have a day let alone an entire month dedicated to their gender. All it does is divides people. No one recognizes menâs day so why should men acknowledge womenâs day? Besides international womenâs day is a socialist holiday that communists celebrate. No thanks
well i think there is a mens mental health month, im pretty sure its November đ¤ˇ
so no, men dont have a specific day, but there is a month where people recognize em
oh wait, ig its also in June.
Do people really recognize men and their needs? All I hear is people talking about women and their problems all the fucking time even when talking about menâs issues itâs still always about women
I don't acknowledge individual days that acknowledge one group. Every day is important to me... to acknowledge all of humanity, not just one group.
Well... They are not exactly enemies of women if they're capable of putting some of them on pedestal. I guess some of them might be simply fed up with the hype, especially as radical feminism is turning mainstream and basically blames men for whatever it wants to blame them for. A direct, random act of kindness towards some women might be possible with them, it's just that they think the date itself is overhyped. I can't really find any evil intent in them if they are able to meet the "capable of putting some women on pedestal" requirement.
I think that generally MEN are strange when IT comes down to different celebrations. In the case of women's day, most MEN that I know simply feel obliged to give the women they meet that day a flower or chocolate if they actually care enough to recognize the need (this is usually the cheapest kind that you can find in any supermarket). Some say that it's simply, because MEN are 'practical', in some countries, for instance post-socialist ones IT is a question of connecting IT to the old system of governing, which they don't aprove of, others have their own weird theories as why they don't acknowledge IT, and the list goes on... It's just strange.
I don't acknowledge it, too...
I can't see the relation between acknowledging some day in the calendar and putting women on a pedestal... I don't agree with both anyway :D
I think any day that is devoted to any group is overrated because what about the other 364 1/4 days that you should also make special. Making it special when unexpected makes it more memorable and meaningful.
I didnât even know it was international womenâs day, I wouldnât blame the guy!
really, when did this day start? Has this been going on for a while?
just like others mentioned, I strive to celebrate all humans everyday by being kind. I donât like to be hypocritical:)
It is strange. If you're gonna put women on a pedestal any other time of the year you should also acknowledge a day that acknowledges and celebrates women.
To you Paris, and all the women who read this. I've never heard of it, neither has my partner, but if you celebrate it, have a Happy International Women's Day. :D
Thank You, @TommyMountainFigure You Have Real Class. xx
Thank you Paris. You do too >:D<
I never heard of international women's day. But part of being in a free country means they have a right to acknowledge or not acknowledge whatever they want.
I donât know, never really knew of an international womanâs day, they have so many names for days I canât keep up, do they have an international menâs day too? Maybe itâs a hypocrite that does that
So no menâs day? Seems like men are always neglected
to like, content neglected, from minor stuff like this to life boats on titanic! to news reports women and children. wait... they can't imply lady weaker? hypocrites!
@strateguy632 does seem like it
seems hypocrite. i am consistent. only American days not international and consistent no pedestal.
I just don't care about international days, week or month of anything, don't matter with what it is.
what about people who do not recognize national meatball day and still like spaghetti and meatballs?
They are probably bitter women haters.
Why does it have to be a day to celebrate women? What's so special about that day that cannot be done on other days?
Im a woman even I donât know thereâs a thing called international woman days 😂😂
I dislike and ignore just about any "special day" for any "special group".
Same as the women who dont acknowledge international mens day.. And the VAST majority of women dont acknowledge international mens day.
I don't know when international mens day is. I also don't know when international or national women's, black, white, native, latina, or Indian day is either.
That's weird, I don't know.
Some people don't celebrate or care about any such days or holidays. My bro doesn't even know when the day was but still likes women.
They probably don't care much for the day itself but still loves women..
It doesn't bother me one bit. I don't acknowledge "Women's Day" either. I acknowledge specific heroic women for what they did, same as heroic men.
I think thatâs what Womenâs day is all about. To acknowledge specific women that did something amazing that impacted our world today. Same as menâs day as well. Or it could just be about appreciating a women You personally know in your life whoâs also done amazing things. Same opinion goes with menâs day too.
All women do is ruin menâs lives.
Every woman is capable of ruining menâs lives regardless of whether itâs intentional or not
Yup. Prevent women from gaining rights, benefits, privileges, etc
Benefits, privileges and rights that give women power over menâs lives. Men have no say in whether he will get to be a father or not for example women have the power to do that. Sheâs just get an abortion if she deems him unworthy of being a father or if he doesnât want to be a father she has the kid and heâs stuck paying punishment/child support and canât opt out. Essentially fucking him over and ruining his life at the risk of jail time if he canât pay up.
Another example, no fault divorce laws which were put in place to protect women from bad men but all itâs doing is giving bad women the power to leave good men and take his money and resources which good women see happen so easily and begin to seek out as well.
Okay, I can understand where youâre coming from and Iâm sorry that some men have to deal with that. However, I do believe it is not every single women on the planet. Personally, for me Iâd want to wait and find the right one for me typically until marriage and wait the right time in the relationship to have a child. Iâd also never want an abortion after watching the video of how they get rid of the baby.
For the most part yes America specifically
I don't know but do women acknowledge International Men's day
They do not
@SolitarySolace and @DarkLegacy I Acknowledge Men's Day. lolxx
Truth is, I don't usually acknowledge it either. You just reminded me in time that it's a thing. Got pampered in return!
Exactly what I think of women wdo't don't acknowledge International Men's Day. Which is all of them.
Only women I acknowledge on IWD are my wife, her sisters and her mom
I guess my little girls count have to amend the name a little. International women's and girls day. I did get them a little locket with our (wife and i) pictures in them. I also have a recording I made for them that they haven't seen. Was when the wife and I first got together and probably one of the only times I appear on camera. She asked me what I wanted to say to our kids. I listen to it a lot as a reminder of why I have done and will do everything I can to protect them
I don't particularly care for the day since we can't agree on "What is a Woman?" Nor can we agree on protecting women's rights in the womb.
I'll just skip acknowledging this day
To be honest, I didnât know this âholidayâ existed until a couple of years ago. Anyway, nothing.
It probably just means we don't discriminate based on gender.
Not really known in USA and UK so many people don't know anything about it here.
:) do they celebrate that in the US too?
They are to busy with their latest feminine obsession to notice what day it is.
I acknowledged that Iâve already wished her it
TBH I definitely acknowledge international (biological) women's day..
Ima be honest. It pisses me off. Like the guy on your other post lmbo
What the fuck makes you think it's any more "special" than any other day, exactly?
Also, who the hell are you going all anal over what others think?
I think they're fake, and disrespectful.
thanks.
we call someone who puts woman on a pedestal LOSERS.
What do you mean by not acknowledge? :)
Of course I admit its existence lol. But most people don't make the international day of anything a part of their lives. Most people never talk about it or don't care. The most I've heard is like people chatting about it quickly over coffee or so. But if it's important to you that's fine :)
Why would we be obligated to acknowledge some dumb made up day?
I don't acknowledge men's day either
I don't have a problem with either day, I just don't think about it lol
Why do you need guys for everything 😏
Same as what I think of girls who do not acknowledge international men's day and yet put many kinds of men on a pedestal
Actually they don't even put men on a pedestal what straight up dispose them instead
Well to be honest most of us don't even acknowledge are own birthdays after a certain point. They all just seem like normal days after a while.
I don't care
I agree
