As you know, in the USA, people are more interested in investing in precious metals like gold and silver. However, over the past two months, spot prices have been too high. Do you have any idea why this is happening?
I don't know about the current situation, but precious metal prices are about how much people have to invest, and alternative investments. There are some other things involved, but that is most of it.
When people have enough money to invest, it will go somewhere. It's just a question of where. If people think the stock market will do well, they put it in stock. If they have less faith in the stock market, they find somewhere else to put the money, like gold. That causes gold prices to rise.
Industrial use of metals has some affect, but it's mostly investment money that determines prices.
