Social Security Administration is a government agency. Therefore it's wasteful and should have their budget cut - like every other government agency.

OMG!!! The site crashed. So what? Someone had to answer their own phone. So what? Everyone knows government jobs are cream and they don't have to work hard. Let them work for their money for once.

I've never seen numbers, but probably most people rarely use the SS site. I think it's quite possible that most people never even create an account. I created an account because I'm a computer geek. But I have very rarely used it, and don't need it all all.

Medicare is closely related to SS. I've been dealing with that lately and see a HUGE amount of waste. It's supposed to pay medical bills. I don't know what percent actually goes to that, but I know there is a huge amount of waste. It would not surprise me if less than half actually goes to pay medical bills.

Hell no, I never trusted him once not to touch Social Security, didn't trust Biden neither has he has a questionable history when it comes cut Social Security. I don't care if I get a lot of hate for my opinion, but Democrats bare some responsibility for Trump cutting social security, it was partly their actions that helped Trump get elected (rigged their primary so only Biden could win, then forced Harris on everyone knowing she was a weak candidate who couldn't/refused to distance herself from Biden).

Maybe the fake news has the elderly so scared to death they are going to lose their money that they all tried to access their accounts at the same time. The best explanation is that Trump's bukkshit uoset a LOT of people, and they called SS and the SS people in trying to help them overloaded the servers, OR too many people logged into the SS servers in a pseudo-dns attack and too them dow.

Maybe this should have been done to avoid this kind of activity.

Govt/Congress... spent the $. They've changed the rules before, they will change them again, probably.
