ROFL, in New England we don't freak out over a moderate snowstorm. At any given moment I can easily go for a week without a grocery run. Rice, dried and canned beans, potatoes, onions, bread, peanut butter, 3-4 cans of tuna, sardines, oatmeal, grits, eggs, flour, Bisquick, popcorn. I have 2 backpacking stoves. One runs on isobutane and the other is a high altitude multi-fuel stove that can burn gasoline, white gas, diesel, heating oil, or aviation jet-A fuel. The multifuel stove works at below zero temps.

not in particular, because food goes bad. we obviously have some canned food for emergencies and always aim to have at least 8 kg's of rice around the house, just in case. worst that can happen here are floodings, so if you have TOO too much, it's all gonna go bad anyway. well, not canned food, but that's expensive and not very healthy.

We already have a good food and water supply for the storm. Here in the Southeast, it may not be as bad as others farther north. We're going to be fine.

When you live in Canada storms are a norm and when you run out you go to the store to buy what you need regardless of snow or freezing temperatures. Its just a norm in many nations
