Well, at the very least, it’s not the worst judicial system, they did hand down a punishment. Of corse the punishment given was insufficient. If it had been governed by Sharia law in its own country, the penalty for this would have been death.

Actually if it had been in his own country under sharia law thevictim would have been stoned to death. You hear the reports from women's amnesty of rape victims going to police stations to report being raped only to be raped by the police.

I don’t know the rules of Sharia very well. I once saw a similar case online where a Sharia supporter commented that if Sharia were in place, the punishment for rapists would be death.

The troubling part is this: if adultery and rape get mixed up under Sharia law, or if the evidence is considered insufficient, ironically the victim could end up being punished by stoning. 😂

If i was a leader and one of the girls who follows me gets raped, i'll give her the right to choose what kind of torture the rapist must suffer, idc if it's sticking a wood stick in his a$$, yes it sounds unhuman at all and no one likes to do such things, especially me, but that's the least thing that can be done to a rapist, you rape? God forbid we afford humanity to humans. Look, the guy is undoubtedly a monster, but giving him human rights isn’t a travesty. And the way those rights are translated in criminal court is up to the judges’ interpretation of the severity of their crime. Your issue isn’t with the law, it’s with the judge of his case.

Did you even read the article or did you stop at the title? The reason he’s been allowed to stay is because his Nigerian citizenship is through his Nigerian mother, he has never lived in Nigeria, he was born in Italy. The problem with suggesting blanket deportations for any and all criminals means that even those who immigrated here as children with no knowledge of that nation, its social rules, or even its language, are subject to those same punishments when they do something as minor as running a red light. They didn’t deport him because he convinced the courts he wasn’t a monster, they didn’t deport him because he wouldn’t be able to successfully survive and even if you disagree with him having the right to be alive, he still has that right and it should be honored. When you take those rights away, it just ruins everything for everyone, not just criminals everyone lauds up as the perfect representation of evil.

Indeed it does. The worst case i discovered was a case in which a woman who pointed out that a man was a rapist got prison time for doing so when the rapist was let off because he was a minor. He WAS in fact a rapist, but because he was under 18 at the time he did not get punished appropriately, but a woman went to prison for mean words online.
The UK is absolutely upside down and inside out right now.

Reminds me of how a girl in the uk, I think 16, fended off a rapist with pepper spray. He didn't go to prison, she did, for the pepper spray.

It does. This situation is terrible. They no longer deserve NATO protection because Briton stopped being a real civilization. We must deter people who hurt or even threaten others! A year for a threat in u. s. Criminal law therefore rape is worse!

Not sure what's going on with the British courts. German courts in a similar case gave a sentence of 11 years and I am certain, a deportation back to Africa afterwards.
