Someone tried to buy an Apple 16 Pro in my name using $999 of my money about two weeks ago and I just found out about it today. I checked with my bank and the attempted theft was unsuccessful, thank God.
If you get this message on your phone or voicemail do NOT click either yes or no. The interface itself could be hacked and you could accidentally authorize the transaction either way. Instead, call your Bank and call the Sheriff's office. Technically, because it's over the Phone line, it's actually Federal jurisdiction anyway, so you would also need to contact the FBI.
Also, I reported the 100 or so unidentified callers we get every month on the home land line, and the Sheriff said I needed an attorney, because I pay for caller ID, but the scam callers are paying for caller ID block, which has already been ruled illegal in a class action lawsuit. You have a RIGHT to know who you are talking to.
