A 250 dollar bill with President Trumps likeness on it has been proposed for the 250th anniversary of the United States. It is expected that if the US mint produced these bills they would soon become collectors items. Would it be cool to own a piece of history.

Congress would have to pass a new law to allow such a currency.

Federal law (31 U. S. C. § 5114) explicitly mandates that only the portraits of deceased individuals may appear on US currency and securities. The law requiring this dates back to the Thayer Amendment of 1866.

As a currency collector, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't happen.

They didn’t get congress approval so it was against the law the put Donald Trump’s name on the Kennedy Centre. Donald Trump has no relation to Kennedy. It probably would of made more sense if they his brother Robert F Kennedy name there

There’s a board that runs the Kennedy center. They don’t require congressional approval for their choices. There’s nothing illegal about adding Drumpf’s name to it.

The Kennedy Center is not owned by the government. It has a board of directors that elected President Trump to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
It is not clear whether or not he had the authority th change the name but it is more clear is that the liberal judge did not have the authority to prevent it.
I imagine this ruling will be overturned on appeal as usual
