It's not uncommon for news articles headline to paint a different picture then the article itself or for the article to contradict the headline, and sometimes people just see the headline and forms an opinion without reading the actual article.

I usually read the entire article when I decide to show interest in one, but I have seen 2 social media professionals use the switch strategy where they say the opposite of what they mean in their title or introductory messages to get attention. It does not drive me away because I can detect false bait from my experience with their previous videos, but I consider bait and switch videos to be dangerous, because it could drive away new fans that do not know them well enough to detect sarcasm or hyperbole.
