Country music legend died at 25th of August 2026 after a few months of struggling with an illness. She was 80 years old. The information was released by her nephew Bryan Seaver on Instagram. Last year her husband of 60 years died as well.

During her career she won 11 Grammy awards and sold over 100 million album records.

President Donald Trump informed on Truth Social that for the next week, flags in the United States are going to be lowered in her memory.

It is sad news. She was an amazing singer, songwriter and performer. She had a good sense of humor and didn't let criticism stop her. Having grown up dirt poor, she worked hard, lived a clean life, was a businesswoman, but related to average people and didn't forget her roots. She also had a big heart and helped a lot of people.
She left a legacy that won't die.

Dolly was a product of a much older generation and some of her persona reflects that: big hair, big boobs, and perpetual big smile. On a deeper level, she seemed to be a genuinely decent person who was a very positive contribution to society.
