Anyone else already dreading Valentines Day?

talk about a holiday in need of a revamp , i was reading the % of people who celebrated it is going down significantly in north america no wonder. gave 3 main reasons - over commercialization , not having a significant other and not interested in the holiday.

years ago i can recall valentines day in school , you'd exchange some cards with other kids but mostly a non event. its gone totally down hill in recent years , around here mostly a reason for rich older married people to go out to dinner.

i'm not sure how it could be saved , needs to become something more inclusive well still allowing people who are with someone to have romantic time but it shouldn't only be about people in relationships

basically ignored the day entirely , felt in its current form i was left with no other choice so pretty much a none event

Valentines is fine and dandy. Just because it's moving on as a tradition and occasion does not mean you cannot partake in it like you used to. You're just a creepy old man now aren't you? Your old tricks don't work and you're deflecting onto the day instead of yourself.

no is definitly something wrong with this day , suppose to be a happy occasion but half the population is sad and depressed. i'm not sure what the point of this holiday is , to give married people an excuse to revive there stall relationships and spend big $ in the process

i dread all holidays personally and i hate to really think about it, i am single and i would hate to really be single on any holiday. it is hard and it is not fun. i do know it is not just about romantic relationships but still, it is hard to show love for me.

I don’t dread it since I don’t have to worry about getting someone anything since I’m usually single every Valentine’s Day , it would be nice but it never happens
