+1 yNo, it's just another day of the week for me. I'll admit, when I was younger and insecure, I hated Valentine's day. I got depressed and sad seeing other couples on Valentine's day with their gifts and how (supposedly) happy they were. It made me feel like no one wanted me and I equated a relationship status (or lack of) with my self worth.
Until I got older and realized it's basically just a commercialized holiday and if someone really cares for you, they show it year round, not just on a specific holiday. Nor is being alone or single on Valentine's day any different than being single the rest of the year. It just means you haven't found the right person yet, or you're happier alone than in a relationship depending on your circumstance.

Yes and no. Honestly it is hard to remember the good times with someone you loved, but it did not work out. Social media will show you many couples enjoying a great Valentine Day and that may hurt. But in the end, you should know that social media is not always real, and if it is, well those are somene elses´ stories. Believe me when I say that it is better to be alone that with ill company. Even if I miss having someone shower me with love and attention on that day, I know that I should not be with someone just to avoid been alone. Been down that path and messed up my life. Even if you regret it, consequences are real, so, it might be aday for reflection.

It is just another day that's all. Okay so what if you are single? It really should not matter. Logically.
Even I have always been single and to me that day is just insignificant and so I don't care.
If you simply wish to go out then you can definitely with your acquaintances or if you have friends. You can also talk to people either online or in real life if you need company. There are so many options, you really do not need that special person or partner. In my view that is.

+1 yIt doesn’t bother me to be single on Valentine’s Day, for the most part because it’s so commercialized. It bothers me at random other times but I just enjoy life as much as possible.
Do you have friends or family you can spend time with? That helps.00 Reply
+1 yValentine doesn't always to be with a romantic lover. It can be with a friend you love, family, cousins.. And I would suggest spending time with them is better, they're the most trusted people and they know you for who you are. I don't have a partner either, I don't need to be sad. Instead, being single is the most incredible thing to do. Focus on yourself girl and get that girlboss day you need

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt reminds me that no one loves me. Last year a friend with benefits came over and afterwards told me he had to leave because he had a date. Another was kept reminding me we were no strings attached just to make sure I wouldn’t get the wrong idea since he picked Valentines Day to fuck me. And the last one told me all about this great girl, who he thought I’d really like because we were so similar, while he was literally in my mouth and in my ass. he didn’t even understand why I started crying.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yHell no. Even if I was single I’d still be happy. Saves me a lot of money for one. Two this shit is played on women as far as these corporations making men feel like shit I’d they don’t get their girl something. Because the companies know women fall for this bs, kind of like women getting into clubs for free cause the clubs know men are going to flock to where the women are at and buy them drinks. Why do you think they have Galentine’s day? Lol so pathetic.
00 ReplyWho cares it’s just a business day to sell chocolates ( to make people diabetic ready for Pharma meds$ ) and plush pillows combined with victors secret underwear 70$ a piece because they read “love” in it.
00 Reply3.1K opinions shared on Other topic. Nope before I had a partner was just another day more so then not I'm sad now I have a partner because its another day to spend money because society says so

But hey, you can still dress up as a Roman centurion and decapitate a priest, so at least there's that!

+1 yNope, it's a good excuse to buy something special for yourself. I bought motorcycle parts for myself for Valentine's day 🇨🇦🙏🏍
03 Reply- +1 y
@Paul09 Right, but then they wouldn't be Valentine's motorcycle parts, and you'd need to come up with an excuse to decorate them with photorealistic hearts engulfed in flame and surrounded by dancing scorpions.
Probably unnecessary note to Ms. Fantasticass: "it's badass" is an acceptable excuse.
Not particularly sad - I am not ashamed of being single/not having married yet.
It is those around me who have married or coupled up whilst I haven't that need to be shamed and blamed and made to feel unaccepted.00 Reply

+1 yNope not weak minded to let marketing and social acceptance. People love you you don't need a reminder or trash that should cost ⅓ of the cost. But as a human being that I am. I'd like to say. I love you. And stay strong. All of you are worth it.

00 Reply 2.1K opinions shared on Other topic. I'm more than sad, actually, it makes me really mad, envious, and in general, that day, I try to cut myself from the world.
People don't realize that Valentine's Day is also a reminder that us eternally single people are alone.00 Reply534 opinions shared on Other topic. I do too. But not because I'm lonely (still sucks to be single). Because valtines is cringy and invented by stores to sell products at overpriced prices! And you you love your partner only once a year? Lol
