Was I wrong for not wanting a relationship?

Question

This guy asked me out for a relationship he said he really liked me etc but I said no because he doesn’t have his life together

he’s 21 living in a sober living home no job and can’t leave and get a job because of the sober living thing. Also he was living out of his car before hand.

I didn’t feel that. And I told him.
he said he cares about me and really wants me and he will wait for me and he doesn’t want to stop talking to me.

. Then on valentines day he pops out with a girl. A girl that is “his friend” that he didn’t talk to until recently. Posting her all over his story TWO DAYS after asking me for a relationship. I asked him about this “friend “ before and he said they didn’t talk. when I asked him why didn’t he tell the truth about her he said

“ I didn’t feel I was obligated to tell you who I was talking to “

was he right because he went for the girl who is “ better for him” and I said no so he moved on.

Am I just being bitter? and jealous?

Ugh girl, don't even sweat that loser! Honestly it sounds like you totally dodged a bullet by not getting with him. Any guy who pulls that fake "I care about you" stuff and then runs off with someone else two days later is just playing games. You were right to see through his BS - he clearly didn't have his act together at all. And who needs that kind of drama?

I'm definitely not bitter or jealous either. Like seriously, good riddance! You deserve way better than some dude living in a sober living home with no job stability. Hold out for someone who can really be there for you, you know? Don't settle just because a guy is trying to guilt you into it.

My advice would be to just forget about him - he's shown his true colors. Focus on yourself and doing your own thing. The right person will come along who you actually want to be with, not some scrub you're not into. Keep your standards high, girl! You got this.

if you didn't want him and you two have different lives, then why are you even thinking about him and another girl? if it bothers you, maybe you liked that he was lonely and you had the upper hand. but now seeing that's the opposite, your ego got hurt a bit? i could be off. I don't know
