Is a pretty face really necesary?

Question

I've read a couple questions and it seems that guys really for a pretty face on first impressions, but I don't have anything that comes close to pretty. My eyebrow is cut in half by a scar, and my teeth are terrible. The front teeth stcik out and the bottom teeth criss cross and I can't even close my mouth properly. Would guys really take these as signs not to approach me?

Guys might not approach you right away at first, but that shouldn't hold you back. If your attractive in other ways then guys will notice that and be attracted to you for those reasons (so at least you aren't going to have to put up with many guys who are just going after a pretty face). Be an attractive person on the inside, it will get you further anyways.

I have teeth problems too (not crookedness but I have big gaps between my top row of teeth because I was born missing some permanent teeth so I have baby teeth where they should be...so on top of getting braces I would have to have a bunch of other costly cosmetic stuff done to get me to have a "perfect smile" so I kinda know your pain...)

I'm kinda self-conscious about my smile but I still have guys telling me I'm attractive (not that I believe them...I don't personally find myself to be that physically attractive...) so...*le shrug*

As for the scar, I don't think that's as big of a deal. Might even be an interesting conversation piece (unless it's some kinda chainsaw massacre trauma story...in which case I apologize for bringing it up)

Some would. Appearance is what first attracts. But your personality is a big thing. How do you carry yourself? If you don't think your pretty and always stay in the back quiet that has factors too. Remember not everyone in the world is physically beautiful or perfect and they still have guys like them and get married.

For me I simply don't approach girls in general, for my own reasons.

But as my thinking goes an attraction is nice and all sort of needed but isn't everything personality matters and has to be there, and for me can make me more attracted to her and looks are just a bonus.

But as I have learned MANY people (especially girls) have long unrealistic lists and or specific qualities and if someone doesn't own those they well they are damned.

Did you ever see one of those extreme makeove shows?  The first thing they fix is the teeth because it makes such a big difference in facial features.  There's no reason to have bad teeth so you should get them fixed.  You will be very pleased with the results.

As sad as it is.yes, guys will most likely not approach you. But sweety you can't look at it this way. you have a ton to offer any guy. Fidning a right guy that loves you for you is what matters. Anyways, it not impossible to fix teeth. It might take a few grand, but its possible. Scars aren't so bad either.hunny a lot of people have scars in one way or another.

Yeah, A pretty face is important. But personality is more important. If a guy just goes by your body then their pathetic. But yeah, a pretty face is a good thing to have. But I'm sure your not at bad as your making it seem.

If you have a really nice body then the face isn't necessary.  I don't want to sound insensitive, but make sure your body is on point and your clothes are flattering (not slutty!) and you could get more guys attracted to you.
