Depends on how/why they were killed. For instance, if an accident, then you just have to accept that there was no malice and killing isn't justice.

As a man, this was deeply instinctively appealing. The fury and anguish is concentrated into a single vengeful act of justice. A monster is killed and will never harm anyone again.

Even though emotionally I would likely feel like they dont deserve to live because of their actions it wouldn’t make the loss of loosing those close to me hurt any less should I take their life , additionally , doesn’t that make me no better than them? I’d also be burdening myself with taking their life and whatever toll that takes on me.

It’s not fitting that they should die , more fitting that they be incarcerated for what remains of their existence in the hope that they live to regret what they have done.

If they deliberately murdered my family, I would kill them painfully.
It they brutally killed and tortured my loved ones, I would inflict exquisite torture and terror on them and make them beg for death.

I don’t know what I would do. It comes down to the fate of my soul. They will likely kill again so is it better to stop them from killing again and just execute them. If you are going to execute them, should some of them be tortured for what they did? Perhaps. Our Founding Fathers concluded no cruel and unusual punishments so perhaps not. It might damn your soul to kill them though. Hard choices.
