I let go of someone who was very wonderful but also just didn't seem to have his own mind on straight. We've perhaps hurt one another's feelings a bit too often to work out in the end... though I would pray it wasn't so. Anyway, he put rather a dent in my heart and now, though I'm a positive up-beat person I find that some of my productivity levels have gone down... I guess I miss the big lug. Everything just feels a little out of step, but I do my best to keep on trucking and not skip a beat.

In the past, my strategy was to deal with my sadness and small increments, and to allow myself the indulgence of denial in between. I tried to stay active and spend time with friends, and I also tried to avoid falling into a rebound relationship (which I learned about the hard way.) When I thought about my ex, I tried to make myself recall memories in a balanced way, remembering the bad as well as the good.
There are a few women from the past who I occasionally think about. I don't want to reunite with them, but the good times were very good and I haven't held onto unpleasant feelings about them.
To get back on track I busy my self with self improvement and work.
