Can you mend a broken heart?

Two different questions you pose - -
Can you mend a broken heart?
What do you do to recover (from your loss)?
in my opinion, you never "mend" a broken heart. The "heart" isn't the problem: it's the thoughts behind the broken-ness that need to be addressed.
Personally, after a good cry, I try to help someone else and fill their voids concerning their loss (es). Yes, it's "just a distraction" from my own loss, but it works.
Thanks for the MHO.
Hummm... It has been quite awhile since that last happened to me. I remember it took a few weeks to recover. I think I sat around the house trying to rationalize the situation. I found out later that she reconciled with an ex while she and I were dating. But she never communicated that to me.
She shouldn't have been dating until it was for sure kaput. Your experience is the reason why.
@daniela1982 Have you had this happen to you recently? Just wondering why you ask.
Anyway, yes that lady who I was dating. She has been married and divorced twice since then. I had no idea she had such issues at the time. Still not sure what she is all about.
Sounds like you missed the bullet. You should be happy about that.
@daniela1982 LOL I knew a family where the wife's brother was married to her sister. They said all sorts of mean stuff about her after they found out that she and I dated. Yeah I think I did dodge a bullet!

Only my own. Same with everybody else I could say some encouraging words but it's the person's choice that has the broken heart on how long it's going to take the feeling that you feel inside can only be produced by you you're the only one that can give you that feeling and you're the only one that can take it away is your choice it's your body you can control it. And when you're ready, u will take it away
Yes, but they usually involve vices and poor judgment calls.
It's like a sprained ankle, it takes time.
No Al Green version? 🤔
Every song seems to have other versions. The beat on Al's is way too slow for my taste.
Fair enough.
I did like his version of Lodi better than CCR's though.

Whups, wrong Al :(
It's all good.
Lose weight, get a bypass, or stent.
I said broken heart, not a diseased heart.
I guess you didn’t like my joke.
Pathetic
Heart never breaks, just a state of mind.
