I don't particularly have a preference. There does have to be an attraction though- if I'm attracted to someone's personality then it makes them look 100% better to me. I have been with both skinny and larger men- skinny men I think is more my preference or someone with muscle (not necessarily built but someone solidly in-between) but size isn't necessarily a limiting factor for me.
so basically, for me:
tall and skinny is a major turn on BUT I wouldn't mind larger but with muscle- once again I would never not date someone because of their size, but, I'm very attracted to someone who likes to take care of themselves and the way they look.usually 150-180 is kind of what most of the men I date end up weighing (go figure- NOT purposeful.lol) .honestly, just exercise enough to tone up- get lean and focus on being solid. Don't drive yourself crazy on skinny or big, focus on being at a size where you feel comfortable- I've seen larger men get as much play as skinny men but it's ALL in the approach and the way you carry yourself.if you're confident in your appearance, women can't help but be attracted. the rest will fall into place! ;)10 Reply

It depends on how much more there is to love. I'm ok with a guy that is a little pudgy. However, I don't want a guy to look like he is pregnant. Don't starve yourself to get thin. Try eating regular meat and veggies without them being highly processed and you can drop weight quick. Also, avoid sodas and sugary items.

I am used to cutting weight, for sports. The best way to cut weight rapidly, though no tthe safest, is to only eat breakfast and maybe an energy bar for the whole day, lots of workouts where the lungs get worked hard, jogging, speedbag, will cut the weight fast. If you can't jog, walk and bring your knees up high every time. Fish instead of steak, half as much for meals, if you don't want to do the "only breakfast" thing. Corn is good too, because you don't digest most of it.

Got to disagree, preacherman. I lost 30lbs in two months eating mostly steak (kept me full for a long time) and green veggies. I would have lost more I guess, but I got down to ideal weight. Corn has a lot of sugar so you absorb that and get rid of the shell. Sugar raises insulin levels which prevents a person from losing weight and makes a person hungrier. A guy can drop more weight typically than a woman though by just adjusting a few things in their diet....usually.

Most people usually diet to lose weight and forget to exercise, or at least wait to start it. This doesn't work, you have to do both. You have to exercise as well as diet; if you only diet your metabolism will slow down and you won't make any progress. It's best to start with the exercise and then work your way towards eating less. To much sudden change at the beginning will either (A) turn you off to the whole experience and you'll give up, or (B) the loss in weight will be only temporary.
Asker+1 yYeah I thought about dieting.....just had a bowel of fruit.....and I was going to ask the doctor if he could give me anything to speed up my motabalism cause I don't really have time for the gym between work and college.

Fruit gives a sugar rush which leads to more hunger. Try more veggies and fruit as desert. Veggies have a lot more fiber than fruit. The greener the veggie the better it is for you. I didn't have to work out for hours and hours to lose the weight. 85% of weight loss is diet. Avoid as much processed food as you can and that includes the "so called" low fat products. They generally just replace the fat with sugar. Talk to your doc too!
Asker+1 yWill do....thanks

+1 ySkinny guys are not very attractive unless a girl is wildly skinny herself. It's unsettling for a girl to be with a guy that weighs less than her. I always love a guy with a little extra, it's cute and manly. Girls are looking for men, not little boys. If you can stand confidently, spark interest with your personality, and smile and mean it, you own it. Girls will notice you. If you want to "get into shape", try going to the gym a few times a week - whether or not you're hardcore, it's attractive to see that a guy takes pride in taking care of himself. It's not necessary though.

+1 yi like bigger guys. more cushion and hugs are more awesome when it's not all bones. I'm down for some belly =] LOL I seriously don't care tho. skinny, inbetween, watever. as long as it's not to the point where you can't even wash yourself properly, I don't care. you should feel comfortable in your skin. confidence is key to attraction. you don't have to be arrogant or even think you're good looking, so long as you accept who you are and like yourself. if you really don't like your weight, find a way to change it. a healthy, realistic goal and give yourself time to accomplish it =]
00 ReplyI'm honestly more attracted to taller skinny guys generally, but I'm also attracted to bigger guys. I know most girls really like tall guys, so your in luck! The thing I like about bigger guys is that they are comfy to cuddle with and it feels good when they hold you. They make you feel secure.

Asker+1 yI'm not really tall I'm 5' 9''.....lol
I prefer guys with a little meat on them. Most of my ex boy friends have been over 200 pounds and I didn't have a problem with it, but it can't be to the point they have fat hanging over their pants. As long as the guy looks like he cares for him self and doesn't just eat everything in front of him or doesn't eat all the time. Having confidence with your body is a turn on for some girls too.
Skinny guys are just to bony and not fun to cuddle with, because when a girl lays her head on his shoulder or chest, she doesn't want to feel bone. That just hurts.
So guys with a little more to love, as you put it, are sometimes better. Well at least for me.10 Reply
+1 yim with jessica... skinny guys aren't very attractive at all.. I would rather have a guy with more to love(: he would be my giant life-sized teddy bear haha.
& I have had a ex that was a 'more to love' guy & his hugs were awesome(: & I always felt safe with him, he could protect me from anything(:
skinny guys... = the girls have to protect them lol.
(:
xoxo00 ReplyI can only speak for myself, but I don't like skinny guys. I like a guy who, when I put my arms around him, doesn't feel like hugging a bag of bones. I think its great you want to shape up, as long as you are doing it for you. I like a guys who are tall and have some substance to them.
00 ReplyTruthfully from experience, the size isn't a huge factor, although obese is a problem to be honest. I have gone out with skinny guys and bigger guys, its more about being attracted to them, and usually attraction doesn't mean weight. I think if anything you may find its more to do with your confidence levels, if you are happy with yourself you are likely to find love.

+1 yI love bigger men with a little padding. It's because I'm a cuddler, and it's hard to cuddle with someone who is bony. I'm 5' tall and 125 lbs, my husband is 6'1" and 250 lbs. We're the perfect match.

+1 yHealthy is good. Skinny guys tend to be less attractive than guys with a little extra, but if it's to the point that you can't fit through the door, then it's time to start dieting lol. Work out, keep in shape, and you should be good.

+1 ymore to love is definately better than too skinny. if it effects your health, or is something you want to do for yourself, go ahead with the diet, but I think a little chub can be a good thing :)

+1 yi personally love hugs. if the guy is too skinny then the hugs won't be as wonderful. its part of how I get an idea for the person. if they hug well and openly and if feels good then it would be easier to figure out their feelings later on without having to ask and be the annoying girl. more to love but not too much. their is always a happy medium

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThe reason the world is so great is that there is someone for everyone. I love big guys, bearded, manly men. It doesn't matter either way, if you feel good in yourself, leave your body alone and flaunt what you've got. Just do whatever feels right for you, and whatever you end up looking like, there's someone who is going to worship you the way you are.
