Unique = different than most people

Pretty = Pretty

You're getting a compliment, basically saying that while you're pretty you're, prettiness comes from something unique, a trait like beautiful eyes, or a cute nose, etc. Just generally something makes you stand out from a crowd in a good way.

Pretty is plain, usually when one says unique it means you stand out and catch their eye

Pretty in a non cookie cutter conventional way. You are attractive without looking close to the media's standard of beauty. Devon Aoki is a good example of this. I find her beautiful but have never seen anyone look like here
