Girls - my friend is acting different towards me, what do I do?

So a few months ago, my friend that I've known for like 2 years and I have become really close and were hanging out like almost everyday. We told each other things and talked about the guy I like who works with us who she thinks doesn't like me and is just a huge flirt. Summer started and we changed our work availabilities to fit with summer classes and such and we haven't hung out one on one since like June.

Lately I've just felt like she's being secretive. She hasn't invited me to things. She told another girl to go for the guy that I like (and another friend of hers likes him too). She's said it out loud who I like. And been sarcastic and dismissive towards me.

I've called her to hang out and she acts all happy and everything but I seriously don't know why she's acting this way. I've talked to other friends and they don't get it. One said I shouldn't even be friends with her anymore.

I'm getting the vibe that I can't trust her.

Have any of you been in a similar situation? And if so, what did you do?

The thing is, she's a mutual friend b/w me and the guy I like so I'm thinking if I just drop her a s a friend she could say something negative about me to him. It's happened b4 with other friends that are girls --- girls stir up drama and I hate it. - 5 months ago
