The word Cute?

Question

most people call me "cute". I never get sexy, hot or fine.i do have a bit of weight to lose so do you think when I lose more weight I will get the other adjectives instead of just cute?

Cute is not a bad word--think of all the plain girls int he world who don't get noticed who would loved to be called anything, including cute.

besides, I think guys take cute girls more serious that "sexy" or "hot" girls,

sexy gals are not taken very seriously by guys--they will chase her, and if they get her in bed, they generally dump her.

I think it has a lot to do with the idea that men think sexy women will be unfaithful--not true, but that is the perception.

If a man thinks a girl is cute, he also thinks she is attractive and is more apt to think of her as girlfriend material.

Men don't apply cute to women in the same way they do as to say, a puppy. 'Cute' tends to mean the girl is attractive but not in a slutty way, if by 'people' you mean potential partners then it probaly is a positive. Your post is a bit vague, in what situation are people calling you cute?

Maybe. Cute deals with mannerisms as well as appearence. And its not a bad thing to be cute. I'd prefer a cute girl to a hot girl if I have a better time with her.

like I said in a similar response, cute to men (know because my hommies are all guys) means she's alright. not hot, sexy, fine, ugly. just okay, nothing special to jump on. depend on you how you want to approach this. just remember, the hotter you are, the more of a bitch you have to be.

It really depends. I'm called cute all the time, but I'm short and petite, so I can't exactly get away from it. I would love to progress to pretty or the like (but not hot, sexy, etc.) but it seems impossible. I hate being called cute.

I really do agree with A-R-Norman, in a guys case cute is probably the best thing to be called, otherwise your basicly being called their future sex toy if the chance. Be thankful they call you cute, I know it seems miniscue to sexy or hot or fine(by the way, cute is WAY better then fine.) but cute is more of a compliment from someone who is boyfriend material, not sex material.
