It sounds like he still has a bit of player left in him and he obviously doesn't see the relationship you are in as serious as you do. If it is only one incident that could be acceptable, however, you say that he never acts the part. I think you two need to talk about where you are heading and take your steps accordingly.

I think you should talk to him seriously about it. Tell him he means a lot to you, but you deserve respect. If he tries to end it with you because you wanted proper respect, he isn't worth your time! Still, if you really care about him give him one last chance.

I think he is taking your trust for granted. He is still a player inside,I suggest you don't waste your time on a guy who takes advantage of your trust.
