What do men think of high-waisted jeans on women?

Hot, but you have to be tall, skinny and still wear a top that matches the outfit/look you're going for.
Otherwise it's silly. The only good pic was of Kim in the second link.

Look at the photos again: it isn't the rise that makes the difference, it is the woman's figure.

A woman with thin hips and a tight tummy will look great in low or high rise jeans.

Low rise jeans and a not so tight tummy = muffin top.

High waist, not so tight tummy? No name, but doesn't look so good.

If in doubt, low rise is still in fashion.

i wanna throw up looking at those pants! ladies why wear them when you can walk around naked or in boy shorts. I would recommend boy shorts and a t-shirt.

theyre kinda like bell bottoms...the retro 70's look (haha you know its weird for my generation to say "retro") when my parents are downstairs thinking this is what I wore back then...i never experienced it therefore its retro me. anyway...theyre ok looking not great...im not much of a "jeans on girls" type guy...so I'm a little biased when I say...no I don't like them...but hey every guy is different, ya know?

well in the not so good examples it obviously looks hideous but in the "good examples" it looks classy, I like it.

I personally don't like them but it appears obvious to me why some men would. They give the appearance of an hourglass figure. Just another fasion trend.

As for me (I have a bit of a big ass) I would not wear them in fear of looking huge.

I think they are sexy on the right girl, with the right outfit. The way they hug your curves so tight can be attractive to a lot of guys.

to pull off high waisted clothes, you need to be slender and VERY tall. regardless of the top, Scarlett Johansson doesn't suit those pants and it's because she's only like 5'2" or 5'4" at most. out of the photos you posted, I think they only look good in the first one and I think that's Beyonce, so if she were facing the camera, the pants would probably look ridiculous because of her hips.
they look good on 5'10" models who weigh 115lb, not on normal people.

High waisted clothes are harddddd to pull off.
