I recently did some shopping and got some retro 80's short shorts for lounging around and doing chores. They are really comfortable, they keep me cooled down, and it is so much nicer than wearing long shorts. I have noticed that my girlfriend really enjoys them too and she stares a lot and can't keep her hands off of me. Is this trend coming back and what do you think about that?

Update: these answers are ridiculous. how would women like it if men were this repulsed by their bodies? it is such a double standard and it is crap. men are expected to cover everything up so that these prudish girls don't get offended.    5 months ago

That's hot, I'd enjoy seeing my man in booty shorts, cleaning for that matter! I don't know about a "trend" outside the house but there's no reason not to wear them at home. :)

I don't know about the retro booty shorts as I think they look pretty silly and would probably laugh at my man for having bought them. However, I do enjoy it when he walks around with nothing but his boxer-briefs on. He looks really sexy in them.

I remember my brothers playing basketball in short shorts and tube socks, so when I see them, I get a good laugh at my brothers' expense.

I've never been a fan of those shorts in general, but I don't think it's acceptable for a girl to wear them and wrong for a guy. If you like them, wear them. Just not with tube socks lol

personally, I'd probably find it really hot, but as an at home thing. if I saw a guy wearing those on the street, I'd think "gay!" but at home it's fine. if your girlfriend likes them, even better! don't stop wearing them by any means, just probably keep them to the house.

I really don't think wanting a guy to keep his balls in his pants is prudish. Are you kind of an exhibitionist by chance?

Question Asker I never said anything about being an exhibitionist. how does wearing shorts have anything to do with being an exhibitionist? It's not like I'm running around flashing people. - 5 months ago
Answerer I looked at your questions. They are: Short shorts on guys, Do girls like a bubble butt, Have you ever been to a nude beach, and Checking out the bulge. Oh, and the nude beach question was specifically aimed at girls going to check out guys. Are you sure you're not an exhibitionist? There's nothing really wrong with that, but it does seem to be the focus of all your questions. - 5 months ago

I say go for it when you're home and lounging around, but I think it's best to keep it there and not in public. Now days people are used to the long shorts look on guys, so you will probably get looked at as being gay. I personally would get turned off seeing a guy with short shorts on. It just takes away the manly look.

Ew.

And if it offends you then wear short shorts and be laughed at.

Women have double standards when it comes to clothes too. If we show too little, we are looked at as boring prudes; if we show too much then we are looked at as trashy whores. If we're out of style then we're looked at as lame. So please don't go there about double standards!

catgirl9 I agree 5000%. Women have it harder as far as dressing goes because we have to dress JUST right to avoid sterotypes and labels. But even then we still get them (prep, goth, emo etc).Guys can get by with a T-shirt and shorts without being called "poor" or "untrendy." - 5 months ago

Ok well the girls answering are not prudish, they are being honest. What about the double standard when girls sleep with a guy and gets called a slut but the guy gets praised? The truth is that the world is full of double standards and always will be. But for your question, if you didn't want to know you shouldnt have asked. We took time out of our day to help you out and all we get out of it is you complaining about the answers? Short shorts on guys are gross and that is that.

Question Asker Calling girls sluts is immature. when you get a little older you might realize that guys grow out of that. any guy that does that doesn't deserve your time anyways. - 5 months ago
Answerer Aw thank you for saying that. I am just trying to say that your comment was rude when you were the one who asked the question. - 5 months ago

Its a major turn-off for me, the last thing I want to see is a dude's balls stickin' out. (I have seen it happen - not pleasant.)

Fuck no. please - just don't.

If you just want to wear it at home, when no one is watching you - by all means wear them in your own premises. Just not in public. lol

Question Asker Who said balls were gonna be sticking out? I do find it very sad that women today are so conservative about how guys dress yet they get to wear barely anything when they go out. - 5 months ago
Answerer And I do find it very sad to see that if a woman - as in 1/4 women, decide to wear "barely anything" doesn't mean that the other half of the female population does so too. In my case, no I don't walk out naked or with little clothes on. I am not expanding my opinion in forcing you to wear short shorts. No balls sticking out? good for you. I just gave you an honest opinion.

And.. considering your question update - if you really don't give a shit than wear what you want. It's that simple lmfao - 5 months ago
catgirl9 If women wear barely anything going out they become trashy whores. - 5 months ago

ew. lol I am sorry but I really don't think that guys should wear short shorts. I hate that the trend is coming back and I honestly would not think a guy was hot if I saw him wearing them.

I don't really think the trend is coming back. But if you want to wear them, then wear them. My guy friends say they're the best thing since Star Wars boxers.

I agree with the other folks. I saw it a lot when I lived in the gay neighborhood, and probably just assume anyone wearing short shorts was gay.

Question Asker Isn't that kinda mean though to assume something like that based on style of clothes? Why do women have such a problem with the male body? Why is it that if a guy doesn't wear long shorts he must be gay? It just seems stupid. So next time I see a girl with cleavage, should I assume she is a slut? - 5 months ago
Answerer I don't think it's mean. It's a style that straight guys don't usually wear. If it became fashionable for straight guys I wouldn't assume anything. And it's not like my assumption is binding or something.

No problem with the male body. I like looking at guys. Short shorts look funny to me, but that's just because most guys wear them long.

As for the cleavage, I don't want to say you should assume she's a slut, but people will. I know I think about it when I get dressed. - 5 months ago
ALWAYSclassy If you saw someone in a cop uniform, would you assume they were a police officer? - 5 months ago
kooki-dow Lol..id assume they're police officer..since its illegal to wear em if you're not one?lol..unless they're in a play of some sort..but..anyways..my opinion on this one..is that..if you really like wearing them and so is you're girlfriend
..then go wear them..if your girlfriend's opinion matters to you the most then you shouldnt worry about what other people think..but I can say that kind a trend is not coming back..as of now..lol.. - 5 months ago

I have only seen a few guys in them. I never ever judge people, but when I see guys in these shorts I automatically assume they are gay. I know that's awful but blame society ;). So I can understand getting them to do chores and for lounging around the house, but I wouldn't recommend wearing them out. We might be thinking about different shorts but I think the shortest a guy should go is about halfway between the top of his knee and his crotch area.

I think if my woman wanted me to wear them and liked how I look in them, I would wear them for her. I also think you have a right to wear what you want & who cares if people don't like it or if they judge you. You are your own person. Personally, I would think it would be funny if I would be wearing short shorts & somebody judged me as being gay, because, boy, are they ever wrong! haha (Personally, I don't normally wear them because they are pretty tight & make me feel uncomfortable, but I would not judge you for wearing them if you wanted to!) lol :)
