AI search that. have seen before and worked out ok as mom comes back. probably hiding the kiddo from predators. she can't go eat and have little one keep up.
Id put some water out in areas as if it's hot, that is the big issue... dehydration. and stay away.
what a tough life it is for these young animals in the wild. I had a baby turkey few years back but did not survive. I should have put water out, it died of heart failure.
I’ve came across a baby deer once when I went out for a picnic with my family. We just left it alone and moved to another area. We went back the next day to see if it was still there and it wasn’t.
In your case, I don’t think it will be there long.
omg, they are so cute 🥺 I'd be asking my husband if we could keep it. I think I'd just google it and see what the internet tells me to do
Believe me, I wanted to. But it probably wouldn't let me.
That's a wild animal. It's better to let the animal feed & provide shelter but don't try to take because even deer can be violent.
@Wodens_Apprentice yeah yeah yeah, you sound like my husband lol

If you call them, they will tell you what to do. They will probably say leave it alone, the mother will return. You could put some water out on the opposite side of the house in case he hasn't had any, he'll find his way over there.
Yeah, I was thinking about that. Water shouldn't harm it
Watch this episode of Unlikely Animal Friends. This fawn grew up, left for the wild, and even came back to visit. 💕

Whatever you do, don’t touch it until you’ve given the mom a couple days to come back. Deer are stupid. Put some water out there for it. If you have another door you can use then use that, you don’t want to spook it or scare the mom away.
Like people and other animals speak deer?😂
@KostasKouvalis
Uh... no. That's baby animals let their mother know where they are. It's instinct.
Leave it and keep a good distance, your scent will put the mother off returning. Deer can leave their fawn for hours so unless it's injured leave alone.
And if it is injured I suggest a pie.
Already too late to keep distance. Plus pretty hard when it's on my door step. I wanted to pet it, but I didn't wanna stress. Hopefully the mother comes back.
Kind of difficult to check if it's injured
Fact it's been left in an area that smells of humans is concerning. Might be worth looking up a local wildlife rescue centre
My neighborhood is next to the woods, so it's unavoidable.
Our animal sanctuary got shut down for animal abuse.
The mother is not around for a reason she didn't tell her fawn to go to your house that you were going to deer sit tonight while she went out dancing with Bobby big buck nuts I'm sure something probably happen to her or she sacrificed herself to keep her fawn alive kind of hope she went out with Bobby big buck nuts
Awwwww🥰 It’s good that it's curled up, it feels safe. Dont touch it, dont feed it, and don't go near it. The mother must be nearby, this little dude will probably be gone by tomorrow anyway.
I already went near it. Hard not to when it's on my doorstep/yard
Mama deer probably kicked Bambi out, 'cuz that's apparently what happens, according to my father-in-law, who is a seasoned deer hunter. Sooo... yeah, entire generations of children were traumatized for nothing.
Baby deer is quite tasty. Just grab a hammer and humanely bash its skull in
I love animals, but that was FUNNY XD
Don't touch it and call animal control. If your scent gets on it, the mother will never reclaim it... Or your local zoo!!!
My local zoo got shut down by PETA
@KostasKouvali Where TF do you live? PETA shuts down the zoo and your animal shelter gets closed down for animal abuse. Jesus. What’s up at the aquarium?
@KennethNoisewater Does sound like there's a few issues near the asker. Good luck.
30 hours. Meanwhile feed it. Use a baby bottle with milk.
Cute🥰
Wait some hours till the deer returns
If it doesn't then contact your wildlife conversion.
Or if you wanna take care of such beautiful animal, milk 80- 20 water.
I think you can go lower like 60% milk
Or search online
It's a little bit young for a roast.
If it's not hurt and there is no mother corpse around wait until mother comes
God has provided a rich nutritious bounty. Feed on its flesh!
I think pretty quick because young animals have little resilience.
She's already dead. The baby is yours. Don't call anyone, they are Democrats. They kill babies. Just get the pancakes ready and milk. Your the momma now.
I know few deer hunters. We have lot of deer in my area. Some bold.
Just watch over the fawn while keeping an eye out for the mother and father deer
Wait a day but put water out for it.
Oh wow. Yum. Free food!
They can be separate for a day or two.
Cute little shitter though
Oh really?
Do NOT touch it! You touch it and you've basically killed it.
I DIDN'T. I WANTED to
I WOULD if I knew what they ate. Surely pasteurized milk won't be good for them.
Weird that the mother just abandoned it
I know... It's like your own little Bambi
If it's not bleating, then it's right where mama wants it.
Damn.
What's bleating?
I heard a sound like that earlier. I figured it was probably her
Ohhhhh my god she's adorable 😱🥺
@KostasKouvalis Aww so cute 🥰
their dangerous call authorities
Don't call anyone mama always come back
Give proper food first
I would wait for the mother to come back.
She DID, and she thinks she owns our yard now. She has TWO fawns
