What do You think of Bandeau Tops?

Well...I recently Bought like 3...and wore it to a party...lol took some pics with it on...but the problem is my some of my friends were like...why aren't you wearing clothes?! And I was fully dressed. I had the bandeau with a jacket...high waisted shorts and tights...

They thought it was absurd. I mean I thought it looked cool...but I guess I was wrong.

For outside: I don't think it's super appropriate unless you wear the low scoop neck tanks.

For partying: I think it's completely normal and cute...Esp if you are wearing it with a jacket. I know the exact outfit your talking about because my friend wore something similar. In NY it's very common as a party outfit so to be honest I see nothing wrong with it. If you don't feel comfortable wearing the high waisted shorts...I recommend like the high waisted harem styled bottoms or cute high waisted trousers. You can also wear a blazer...& the bandeau and just button up the blazer (below the bandeau so you can still see it).

Camilla Belle looks gorgeous in that picture but anyways , I adore them; I think they're so cute and a big fashion risk. They were just jealous that they didn't think of wearing one first; if you liked it, and you felt good about yourself , then that's the only thing that matters. I find it to be really sexy; it's shows some skin but leaves enough to the imagination; there's nothing wrong with them. I plan to stock up on them soon (:

I bought one a month or two ago that looks like this link but mine is purple. I wore it with an oversize tank, similar to this link Except I paired it with thigh-lenghted leggings and the tank actually covered my ass.

i think they look great, but more from a bikini standpoint than a casual top, but that's just my opinion

i think they are so cute! but honestly wearing one with high waisted shorts and tights sounds like you got dressed blindfolded. does not sound like a good mix...if I saw that I'd be more like "WHY are you wearing that combination of clothing?" not so much "why aren't you wearing clothes"

My boobs are too big for them, but they can be cute in the right setting and with the right body type(thin/slim with small breasts)

However, I tend to dress more modestly, so even if I had small boobs I would wear them.

I didn't think they were made to be worn as a shirt nor would I ever wear one as a shirt. I wear one under other tops. I can see why people would think it's weird - like you're not wearing anything.

Well...i know...that...but they are also worn both ways...Somepeople where them under see through clothing...some with jackets...underneath dresses...loose tops ...etc.

But they are 3 types of bandeaus...Swimsuit type, Bra Type, Shirt Type.

I know there are different types. I own all three types. I've work it under other tops that were either low cut or see through, but I wouldn't ever wear it on it's own. If you like it, that's fine. I just don't.

bandeau tops were hot in the 90s, not sure if it's making a comeback now, but I always thought they were a fashion faux pas. nobody can pull off wearing a bandeau top by itself unless they're on a fashion runway. if you have a top wiht a super plunging neckline, you could wear the bandeau top under instead to "cover up more"

I don't know if I would wear one, they seem to be very casual, similar to wearing a bikini rather than something to wear out.
