Okay think of it this way: when I call a guy handsome, I mean he is really good looking and I like him. If I call him hot, he looks like model but I wouldn't date him. What would you like to be called to if handsome doesn't measure up to 'beautiful' standard? I rarely get called beautiful- more cute or sexy and I hate that. I get offended. So I think that if I called a guy hot, he would feel something similar. I thing that calling someone sexy or hot or whatever is like telling them I would so sex you right now and then there'd be nothing more. So now which would you prefer? I think handsome and beautiful completely rule out sexy/hot. But that's your choice.
What? Are you serious? If a woman calls you cute or handsome that is a major compliment. Handsome and handsome are associated with certain characteristics, all of which are positive and involve our response to those who have well balanced symmetry in their appearance. Go with it.

Nope, I think handsome is equivlent to beautiful. Cute means your attractive and almost hot. Hot means your hot, but not entirely handsome. Handsome means your like a seriously gorgous male.
If you're offended by being called cute or handsome then what DO you want to be called?
I don't think so. I feel like handsome and beautiful are entirely equivalent. Cute has a lot more to do with personality than looks.
