Can attraction come back after it seems lost??

This guy has been interested in me for 3 or 4 months now & we have been on two dates. There was lots of flirting, but also loads of mixed signals. For starters, I'm aloof by nature & I was always expecting this guy to make the next move & it seemed he was stalling. In retrospect, I should've maybe been more upfront with how him about how I felt. Anyway, nothing really intimate happened between us. Now, I'm told he's met another girl who he's crazy about. Apparently he doesn't feel the same way about me anymore because we haven't got anything in common & there's no spark anymore. Apparently, when he first met me the thing that attracted him to me was my looks & he found me very physically appealing. He was really into me. So, does attraction die & if so can it come back & how? I still care about him, but I'm afraid there might not be a chance for us if he has suddenly stopped feeling attracted to me :( Suggestions please!

if he likes the new girl your chances are not looking good.

for the moment you can't do anything. his mind is set on the new girl and unfortunately there is no history between you (two dates don't count). but at the end everything is possible. you never know. try to maintain some contact with him (casual) from time to time and wait for another opportunity.

Thanks for your answer! I'm just really confused by this guy's signals. Just 2 weeks ago he told my brother he still liked me & he wanted to try again. Now, he suddenly is with this girl who isn't all that attractive & I thought he was just trying to make me jealous by pretending to be with her. She's also a friend of mine so I was like WTF? & their body lang is also not that of 2 people who are into each other!

minds can change quickly.

one day you can have a crush or miss someone, the other day you can crave for someone else. true story: in July I tried to get back with one of my ex (she ended it). Everything seemed to work fine until she went for a week in a short trip. After 2-3 days I went to a birthday party where I met another girl. Before the party my mind was set on my ex. After the party I forgot her completely. There was nothing I could do... out of my control.
