Girls, what percentage of guys do you find attractive?

Assuming they are in your age/peer group. For example, going around campus I find that like 80% of girls are attractive. I think a lot of guys have a high number. My female friends have pretty low numbers for some reason.

On a daily basis... I'd say about 20%.

But initial physical attraction doesn't count for much (at least for me). All of the guys I've dated, I wasn't attracted to initially; I probably wouldn't have glanced at them twice on the street. But once I got to know them and realized what wonderful people they were, the level of attraction went through the roof and suddenly they became the hottest men on the planet.

But say I approach a girl, chances are she doesn't find me attractive. I'd imagine if she didn't find me then she wouldn't be open to flirting. So how should I go about things. Just talk about mutual interests or something and hope it's enough?

She could definitely still find you attractive. Either way, yes, mutual interests are always a good way to go. Ask her questions about herself (well... not too many to start with), maybe try and crack a few jokes here and there. Humour is good, plus it increases the chance that she'll think about you later and smile :)

@Markfish Yeah I just heard someone propose that how 70% of divorces being initiated by women may be due to how they tend to find men they are with as physically much less attractive as their level of attractiveness. I found it somewhat interesting at least. Think of it this way: what if she found the guy physically attractive BEFORE he showed his great personality. Wouldn't he be more desirable?

You can't even form physical attraction after learning his personality, as it isn't actual physical attraction by very definition. It is not based on the physical.

In real life: 20% or less I find actually attractive.
From the pictures on the internet of celebrities and, obviously, somewhat unrealistic expectations: 70%.
