Why do women wear so much makeup?

And look different or older? Most of the features they bring out like the eyes, cheekbones or lips are not even natural, instead they are made to look bigger or sharper by contouring the features. When the warpaint comes off, the face is just an average one.

well not all of them #generalisation311 but yeah i agree it's really too much, what some women do. women who do a full face everyday are using at least 10 products on their face on the daily... that's no good for the skin. I'm sure, or at least i hope, that they have a good skincare regime.

HOWEVER, i have nothing against women who like to wear makeup everyday. a lot of people come up with the shitty argument that it makes them look different... ehmmm hellooo sherlock that's the point.

as for me, the most i do on a casual basis is a bit of powder foundation, bronzer, eyeliner and a matte lipstick. that happens like twice a week. anything else goes for a wedding, party, etc.
i wanna be that girl whose skin still looks good at 40+ with nothing on it, so I'm conditioning my skin with natural products from now =]

no idea.. the ones who wear just a little bit and try to keep it natural is good.. it shows they take care of themselves as they are not as lazy as I am. but too much is not good. they look like pastries.. they think they are looking good but instead everyone makes fun of those girls.. most boys in my class make fun of those girls..
even celebrities use toooooo much makeup.. and people set their perfection standards according to those..

Because they want to? I used to ask myself that same question but honestly at the end of the day, if a girl likes wearing makeup then fine, if she doesn't like to wear makeup, then that's fine too. I don't like wearing makeup but I don't care if other people wear it. It's all about personal preference and freedom of expression.

Some girls wear make up to cover up imperfections while others just want to look 'attractive'. My friends and I on the other hand dont wear makeup because my friends dont have anytime for that and also I am allergic to makeup and if I did want to wear makeup I have to buy organic and natural cometics which will lead to shopping and I hate shopping

Make-up is to hide imperfections or add onto (to enhance a feature) or create something that wasn't even there.

Girls wear make up to look pretty OR to create a feature they lack.
