I have cancer, and im afraid to tell friends, and my best guy friend who i am in love with?

My parents, and family know...
But im afraid of telling my friends...
And this guy whos been drifting from me who used to be my best friend. Well he still is...
But im terrified friends will dissapear... Im a pretty private person, and my friend hasn't exactly been there for me over the weeks. Well actually I've been hiding away... But still he hasn't been texting me...
I dont know i just dont know how to tell him and everyone else...

How long were you diagnosed? What type of cancer,
And what stage exactly? If I was you, i wouldn't tell him you love him more than friends, this is going to be a blow if he feels the same way. Tell him you love him tho, and appreciate your time. I'm going through a similar thing, I've been really sick lately, I've refused kemo. I'm moody and always tired. I actually lost 10 pounds in one week. I never looked so good lol. But I know I have to start kemo, I'm in love with my guy friend too, but I won't tell him, actually I'm doing what your doing, just staying away. If possible he'll hate me and forget me. I'd rather that than to break his heart! :*(

It's best for you to comfortable with whatever you do, you never want to regret something but also you will never know what he will say and do if you don't tell him. I'm sorry to hear you have cancer too, hey chin up you'll do you great and I hope you kick cancer's butt! :D

I would start with confessing my love for him.
Sit him down and tell him straight, be prepared for rejection and accept it if it happens.
Wait a while... A week maybe.
Then sit down all of your friends, him included, and tell them you are sick.

If your best friend doesn't reject you... Tell him straight away that you are sick, before the rest.

This is all very fast, open and scary... But I'm pretty sure you will regret not doing it once you really become ill and need your friends.

I have no idea. My family found out right away.
I've known for about 2 weeks. My roomates were away on vacation when I found out. And they got home last night.
Everyone was around and after some time I ended up just going into my room, and fell asleep.
She's like my best friend. So this is how she would react. "Oh my god, come here. We'll see every doctor." And cling to me everywhere.
The other roommate I imagine would be like "oh no, are you going to die?" and give me a weak hug. Second roommate is not exactly the brightest.
My best guy friend, is applying to med school, and will most likely try and help, but will just feel bad for me...
I'm just a burden to everyone. I don't want to hurt anyone..

First of all I'm sorry to hear that. You're concerned about losing your friends over this, and really you're the one who is pulling away from them. If they are friends worth having, they will stick by you through this. Good luck sweetie.
