My ears get tend to get very waxy (gross), so I clean them out with q-tips.
So what could be causing this? It's very annoying!
It may be you have pushed some wax into the ear canal. That would explain the clogged sensation.
Go to your doctor and have him/her look at them. If there is too much wax it can be easily cleared. It feels a little strange. But only takes a few minutes. And is painless.
Yeah I got that done before.
You're welcome!!
I suspect that you have fungal infection in your ear because of waxy clogginess. Hence the pain associated with it. You must go to ENT doctor who can solve your problem by writing you a liquid solution which will clean your ear.
I have an appointment with an ENT this Wednesday.
I have
Yeah, I'm still at home.
My ear is fine now, but I'm still going to my appointment.
It's normal, but it's starting to become a problem. The wax keeps building up- like two weeks after I clean my ears, the wax is right back to where it was.

i dont know about that. but you should clean them every day after a shower to maintain them. maybe go doctors if they are hurting
That's my plan.
I got them flushed out last month. Maybe they'll do it again.
Qtips can make it worse. If you have excess wax a qtip essentially can act like a bulldozer pushing the wax further in. Go see an ear, nose, and throat doctor. I'm not going to even attempt to spell the actual term for that kind of doctor.
They're called Otolaryngologist, and that's what I plan on doing.
I didn't know Q-Tips can make it worse.
Yeah quips are the most common way to clean ears but not the safest or most efficient. I use them though.
When I do use them, I don't put them in my ear canal- only the outside.
I tired using a rag, but it doesn't really work, and I feel like I'm pushing the ear wax around.
Do you have any allergies or colds? or perhaps a problem
with either swallowing or yawning?
None of the above.
It's a possibility. So I'm going to call an ENT specialist tomorrow morning.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I have VCD.
Well at my doc appointment, they told me some breathing exercises to do to help my vocal cords relax.
Thanks for the help! Very appreciated :-)
Thank you!! Have a good night.
