Weight loss through veggie and fruit diet?

I've recently put on +22pounds in 2 weeks (don't ask me how), and I really want to drop them so badly before college, so I've been thinking of going on an all veggie/fruit diet for 2 weeks straight OR
I can alternate between a fruit/veggie day and a regular day containing proteins for a month along with exercising what do you think?
