When I go jogging, I always stop as I basically can't be bothered... Is there a way for me to stay motivated?

I'm a cadet so I need to be fit enough to run at least a kilometer in just over three minutes thirty (give or take a bit). So I am trying to go jogging regularly but I can't seem to get motivated enough! I'm not lazy either I just don't particularly like running... Is there a way to motivate myself more?
