I just had some donuts including an apple fritter, so I came up with this question. Personally I like Dutch apple pie the best. And you?

Probably apple pie ala mode (American apple pie with ice cream). =) The strudel and the fritter are kind of like a quick breakfast items to have with a coffee on occasion. They aren't really something I eat for desert.

Oh, but I do love an apple pie that's got that sort of woven top like this link . I don't know what that type of pie is called but I love it.

  Ah, okay. The one I linked here was just the type that I like though, but it itself seems a bit too crusty for my taste. Slightly soft crust is the best :)

  I wish I could have it but I'm allergic to tree nuts :/ You're right, it's like Dutch apple, but it usually has some sort of tree nuts.
