I’ve been having trouble with this too and I feel like if you don’t meet online applicants requirements you get thrown in the trash and they don’t take a look at you, and I won’t have that. Not everyone it lucky enough to finish their education and are just looking for a start in the work force and how are you supposed to do that if people won’t look at you if you don’t meet their highest expectations? So go ahead and lie about it, after I’ve been honest about it and not hearing back I wouldn’t try being honest again just to skip the heart break. and if they ask you about it say either you’re working for it or say yes you lied because you want this job and show them your skills and make them believe you’re a right fit for it. Around here the jobs are either fast food or consumer service which I’m incapable of doing, so rarely I find the right job that I can probably do and that sounds nice like a room attendant at a hotel, and I’m not going to say I didn’t finish education just for them to pick someone else who probably doesn’t need the job as much as I do and won’t put it as much effort as I will and I know that sounds selfish but that’s the job market for you lol

I have never heard of a company that verified high school degrees. For that matter I never heard of one that verified college degrees either. Maybe they do, but I never heard of it.
If it was me, I'd lie about it. Just remember that as long as you work there you can't tell anyone you didn't graduate from high school. So don't let it slip.
What makes you think that's the reason you didn't get the job? I'd be somewhat surprised if they cared that much for a job like Chipotle. If you are just assuming that's the reason, you should consider that it might be something else. It might be that they just had better candidates. But it may also be something else. If it's something else, try to find out what it is so you can improve it. Interviews takes practice and you should learn and improve every time you do it.
To succeed in a job interview you'll need to seem like they need you; positive first impression.
Some things you should do before an interview:
- do a little research on the company; what they sell, their history, their people, etc
- practice smiling/talking (if you're not good at it); smile at the mirror whilst talking; make eye contact or with actual people.
- study your CV; don't forget what you wrote on your CV
- be prepared for 'difficult situation' questions; search 'difficult situation interview questions' on google (for some examples)
- LISTEN & AGREE with them with a POSITIVE attitude! (NO BUTS/ NO NEGATIVITY)
BODY LANGUAGE:
- sit up straight
- make eye contact
- smile naturally
- nodding
- dress up for the job; wear clothes that matches the atmosphere of the store.
This is some of the things I do to get a job; I'm 19 & I've worked in many different places as a shift manager whilst being a student.
I hope these tips work! Good luck.
you can, and there are many entry level jobs that won't check. However there are some that will. Worst case, you'll end up not getting a job at that place and you may even get black balled from ever getting a job in the future at that particular place. However, it might be worth it in your situation to take the risk. Get the job and for goodness sake go get your GED asap. I know you've heard it before.
There are three things you need to do in the US to not be permanently poor. Graduate from high school, get a job and don't have a kid until after you are married. So far, you have missed two of those three, but you can go fix those things so get crackin and DO NOT quit until you get that job and your GED.
Well, a big company like Chipotle probably pays for professional background checking and will likely discover that you didn't graduate. Consider getting your GED, which is considered equivalent.
Also check with the Employment Development Department to find resume help, job finding services, and other workshops to help you get work and perform well in interviews. How are your office skills? Consider signing up with a Temp agency.

I graduated high school but I didn't state on my Resume that I did. I just put down the years. Same with my colleges. From the age of 17 to now at 36 years if age, not once has anybody ever asked to see my diplomas. They sit there collecting dust. I could have very well not graduated anything and nobody seemed to care.
It's more important that you can show them you can do the job they ask of you and do it well.On your original question, I think it would depend on the company and how much they check up on those things, so I can't really say.
But what I really wanted to say is when they ask why you applied to the job, they want to hear some BS about why you want the job. Like for Chipotle it could be that you like interacting with lots of people, working for a company with ethical values, etc.For your resume, all you have to list is your school and when you went (usually you put the year you graduated but...). As far as an application, you could but I wouldn't. Some employers do check or want proof and if they catch you in that lie, you're probably done right there because they won't want someone dishonest working for them. Just keep trying. You'll find something.
Don't ever lie on your your resume or an application for a job bc eventually they will find out the truth and hire someone else who is more qualified than you are and if your honest and up front then the person hiring you may work with you to help you get your ged or diploma or continue your education
What kinds of things did they ask you!!! And how many interviews did you have with chipotle? and don't lie haha
I wouldn't lie but maybe explain, in the interview, that you're working on your GED.
You can't lie.
They WILL catch you out. Then you definitely won't get the job.yeah you can i really doubt at the job/interview they are going to request to see your diploma
No you can lie because the company will check and your lie will bite you in the ass
No. If a company finds out you lied on your CV they may fire you.
Nope. If they find out, you might as well get blacklisted. Try freelancing, or other things where you don't need a degree.
I mean you could lie about it but then it'd be harder getting the job ig. Idk?
You can lie all you want. Getting a job mostly depends on if they like you in the interview. Most places don't actually check into any education background.
you can but they will likely check and not hire you
how can they trust someone, who didn't even pass high school. id suggest getting your ged, before trying to get a job
I always did and no employer ever checked
No you cannot they will verify it
Lie if you want. You'll only hurt yourself.
