Girls, is having a PhD sexy?

I was thinking about going to become a theoretical physicist, is a man with a PhD sexy? Ross on friends always gets harassed about it on friends lol. but I mean, is a man with that level of education considered sexy? a lot of my friends work in the trades and girls seem to love that, one girl even told me that she thinks it's pretentious. what do you think?

Sexy, I don't know. Attractive, definitely. It also depends a lot on the guy's field of study. Physics, for example, is interesting to me, so I would find that very attractive. If it were something I were less interested in, I might find it less attractive. Plus, pursuing a PhD in physics [or anything] shows that a guy is ambitious and can fully commit to something he's passionate about. Those are attractive qualities. =] So for me personally, a PhD is attractive for its own reasons. I would be intrigued by a guy who was into physics even if he wasn't intending to pursue a PhD. But to combine the two, I find that doubly attractive. That's just me though. I can't speak for anyone else.

I personally think that any person who had a PhD must be a hard worker, and care a lot about what they studied, which I find very attractive. I would love to get my PhD, but I don't know if I will or not. I think that if its what you want to do, and you think that it will make you happy, then you should do it, don't worry about what other people think, or get it because you think that girls will be more attracted to you. I definitely find it to be sexy if a man is educated! I have always had a thing for smart guys lol =)

I think sexy is the wrong word- I don't want to sleep with your mind, however, a guy's mind is what attracts me, and I'd date a theoretical physicist in a heartbeat, regardless of looks. I'm into the big picture, I want to have intellectually stimulating conversations- after that, I just want to jump your bones because you are so amazing. Turning on my mind with your ideas is going to get my body going too. That being said, you have to find a girl who actually understands a bit of what you study, otherwise you knowledge is worthless to her, it's just a status symbol- she doesn't have to have a PhD, but someone smart and interested in science so that you don't bore them.

Not so much sexy as much more appealing when it comes to pairing up. In the grand scheme of things this puts you above a lot of guys in the "sea of potential mates". This shows that you have a brain and you like to use it a lot which is good for a girl to know because in the long run looks and bodies fade but the mind has a way of always surviving whatever the years throw at you.
