So...boyfriend broke my rib on accident. Do I tell him?

Question

We were having an intense tickle fight and at one point he wrapped his legs around me really hard. It was all bruisey and such, but I bruise easily, so I thought nothing of it. Until I had trouble breathing. So I went to urgent care and sure enough I broke a rib.

I know he'll feel super bad about it, so should I not tell him? If we get in another tickle fight, I'm sure I'll feel it's pain. But I also want him to know that he's got to be a little more gentle with me.

I have a broken wrist that isn't healing, and my boyfriend gets REALLLLLLY twitchy if I lift anything, and I mean anything! I lifted his guitar last night and he appeared behind me, grabbing it off me, telling me off...

But I know as soon as it's sorted out, yes he'll always keep half an eye on me but he will relax about it. Give him some time, I don't think you should talk to him about "you're being too sensitive with me". Just enjoy it and if it annoys you, playfully be like "oh stop it, I'm fine!"

You have to tell him regardless.  What if it came up by accident months later or years later?  He would probably really feel awful then, wondering why you felt the need to withhold it.  Also, as you already recognize, what happens while you are healing.  This is going to take a while to heal and during that time you may not feel 100% and may pull back from activities you normally would be fine with, so better he knows why then think you are acting strangely around him.

Just tell him, but make more of a joke out of it. If he can take that kind of humor haha. At least then there won't be any tickle fights until you're better. And if you make it no big deal then everything will be a-ok! :D

Tell him, its best he knows so he doesn't attempt to tickle you or something while you're in this treatment... less he injures it more. I understand the whole intimacy thing through tickling and such, but there should be a limit to avoid injury so that he knows when to stop or at least... tone it down a bit. As long as you don't make him feel guilty about it and put pressure on him, he should be fine. He'll naturally (or should naturally) feel sorry about it and may show an over sense of "its my fault, I didn't mean to..." so just tell him its OK and that at least in the future you two know to just be a little more careful.

Yes!  He needs to know...if my female had that smile of urs I would want to hug her to death..but he can't do that can he?   Need to be straight forward and honest with the lucky man...and let him know that you expect him to be straightforward and honest with u!  It is OK if he feels bad...after all...he hurt his lover...but (if you feel he deserves it   LOL!)  you can tell him that you forgive him...if THAT doesn't make him love that pretty face and GREAT smile...then you deserve better!

Yes, tell him.  He needs to know so you don't get more serious medical issues in the future.  Yeah, he'll feel bad, but he will get over it.  You don't have to tell him you can't tickle, but you should let him know what happened.
