So you got rejected. It hurts yes. It makes you feel sometimes unattractive or you feel your world crumbling down. How we react towards rejection is in our hands. Sometimes, it is not you honey. It is them who have a problem. So chin up and read on why you’re not so unwanted after all.
1. They are not ready to love yet.
They just got out of a relationship and getting into another one is not going to help them cure their broken heart. Just give them time to heal and if you still want them, just be patient. Just remain the lovable person that you are. When they are ready, they might come knocking on your heart to let them in.
2. They are in love with someone else.
Their heart belongs to another. No matter what you do or look like, they are already smitten with another person. You can’t choose who to love.
3. They have so much things going on.
There are so many things happening for them that love is not one of them. They have no time and energy for romance that even if you’re the most eligible person for them, they just can’t find a place for you in their crazy life.
4. Their family is first above all.
Their kids or their parents who need them are their top concerns. Although they want to love you, but juggling love life and their family at the same time is too much for them to handle. They feel it is unfair for you to take the back seat and it’s better for them to let you go.
5. Their fighting their own demons.
They are battling addiction/depression (or other self issues) and romance will have to wait. Although you are willing to help them through it all but is taking a toll on their health and you get left behind that is why they choose to let you walk away.
6. They’re in a financial rut.
They won’t date you simply because they are broke af/jobless/drowning in debt. Getting into a relationship is not going to make things easier for them financially. They feel it’s unfair to let you shoulder expenses in your dates/bills.
7. Their career/education is their main focus.
University is not cheap and getting a degree is what they’re aiming for right now. Or their career is taking up most of their time and energy. There is no place for romance anywhere for them.
8. Distance.
Long distance relationships are a no no for them. They need to see you, feel you close but if you are far away, they’d rather stay single than invest on something/someone not tangible every day.
9. Religion and politics.
These two can greatly affect your relationship. If they don’t agree with your views or your background, no matter how lovable you are, love can be hard to achieve.
10. Health.
If they’re suffering from a certain illness maybe incurable, they’d rather let you go, than let you go through the stress of taking care of them. Or they feel they are incapable of giving you the love that you deserve.
11. What their family has to say.
Family is everything and forever. Whatever their family says, they take them into great consideration. Strong family traditions cannot be simply broken because of a new person which is you. What their family thinks about you can make or break your potential relationship.
12. They just want to be just friends.
Because to them, you are an amazing friend and losing you in a relationship is just not possible. They are more comfortable having you as a friend because you have been there with them through thick and thin without the complications of a relationship.
13. You are like family.
Maybe they’ve known you all their life, and that is all they see you as – family. Getting into a relationship with you feels wrong to them although you are so lovable.
14. You work together.
Maybe you are their boss or vice versa or simply co workers and they just don’t want to complicate things because of HR policy for fear of sexual harassment. Maybe if one of you moves jobs, then a relationship can happen.
15. They feel they don’t deserve you.
In their eyes, they feel like you are out of their league and they don’t deserve someone so amazing like you; that you deserve someone better. They have all the other reasons I mentioned earlier that is why they want you to be with someone who can love you the way you're supposed to be loved.
There are so many other reasons why someone rejects you. But these are the most common ones that people do why they choose to let someone amazing like you go. Don’t sulk. Don’t cry. Of course cry if it helps.
But take a step backward and see why they did it. Understand them from their point of view instead of getting mad at them for rejecting you. It's not you, it's them who have a problem. Remember you don’t need anyone else to make you feel good about yourself. If a door closes, a window will always open for you. You might just want to thank them for rejecting you to give way to someone worthy of you.
